  • This song automatically transports me to a better place and time.

  • Really just purified bliss at 1:16 }{ Can somebody let me borrow their 'time-machine' , n` show me how to get to Seattle in 1976. No ,I`m Serious ... Man !

  • 圧巻の演奏ですね。何度でも、観たくなる。

  • It was early 76, I was in the military stationed at Fort Lewis, not far from Seattle. There were a bunch of us guys that would make the trip to see as many great concerts locations all around Seattle.

The King Dome was newly completed in 76 and McCartney and Wings was the first "big band" to seel out a concert in that huge concrete structure.

I was there in 1976, front and center in the 100 section. A great show, a wonderful time with good friends and times that will be remembered forever.

  • Hola a todos alguien me podria responder si florinda meza estaba en este concierto creo que la he visto por favor les dejo mi msn: emcharles6@hotmail.com gracias

  • It takes a class song to get on my Playlist. I've just heard the 2011 version at the O2 by Paul. Just to check how good it was when he first played it live I went searching and found this version. This is what Paul should be performing. his band are professional but they are not Wings. Great..

  • this song is for my mum. her 3ed husband(was in a band) and run off with her little sister whos 18 months older than me.hes still running!

  • Good synth work from Linda M. -- and the woman didn't even know where "middle C" was on the keyboard before she met Paul, the magician for this band.

  • If this was a potato, it would be a good potato.

  • The bass kicks ass :-) ALL TIME FAVOURITE

  • i prefer this to the original :P

  • Paul McCartney becomes one of the most famous people on the planet earth with The Beatles, then he forms his band and still made some of the most greatest music ever written!!!!!!

  • Double Guitar is OSOM, this song is simply PERFECT

  • how can someone dislike this? The song is perfect!

  • paul seems to be having a hard time singing the song. i wonder if he was tired.

  • Great post. I wonder what it was like for the lead guitar to play riffs written (and recorded on the studio version) by his boss.

  • Why couldn't I have been alive to see this? :(

And same as fabLA59, I've watched this video so meany tims now it's ridulous.

  • @EzyRider1000 no he is god at music

  • @paulftw4life yes, but what does this song mean? Why were they on the run?

  • @LuckyGuu idk exactly if i had to gess it was about a band who was stuck somwhere and ran off and everyone was trying to find them

  • @paulftw4life yes, but why was the Jailer Man and Sailor Sam searching everyone? I hate it when songs, I hate it when songs repeat, I hate it when songs repeat

  • @LuckyGuu this song is about a band that escaped from prison & they're running away. "hint: Band on the Run" & since they escape and are running away, everyone is looking for them so they can lock 'em in prison again but at the end, the band isn't found anymore.

    Hope this helped you :)

  • @JApple97 yes, it does help, but why were they in prison? perhaps it's abstract. Paul's movements while playing look silly to me. Do you like the Scorpions?

  • @JApple97 yes, it does help, but why were they in prison? perhaps it's abstract. Paul's movements while playing look silly to me. Isn't Paul wearing a MULLET? Do you like the Scorpions?

  • @LuckyGuu yea at that time Paul had a mullet. He didn't finish growing it until the 90's.

    & yea I like the scorpions :)

  • He's great, just great.

  • i worship this song and I'm a hip hop fan!

  • That was a great year, and a great song.

  • fucking amazing!

  • I was a child in the 70's yet remember this album in 1976....that voice, that showman, that song, that bass......it makes you get on your knees and thank God you lived the same time as this genius......drooling in anticipation for the remaster at the end of the year

  • Pencil double-neck geek.

  • Paul is the only one I know of with an excuse to have had a mullet.

  • Yo, that bass line is tight son, naw mean?

  • Damn, hes just amazing.

  • this song has like 3 songs in one....why has noone ever tried to sample the first two parts of the song...or one of the two parts...when I was younger I thought it was not all the same song....I used to try to remember the first part, then the second part would come on...then the third...it has taken me 25 years to catch up to this song or maybe even 30 years........CLASSIC WORLD MUSIC

  • I love the rickenbacker bass, but the hofner bass paul again use sound much warmer. paul is the best alive muscian in the world and best bass player and the hofner ist best most wonderful looking bassguitar in the world.

  • I just listened to the version of this McCartney did from the top of the David Letterman marquee in NYC last year. It's so nice to hear it the way he was able to sing it when he still had the top-end of his voice.

    Unoriginal Comment says:

    FAIL

  • @Tinc00lb3ans

    I say:

    Shut the fuck up

  • @MrGhero96 Lol

Just saying if your going to steal somebody's comment just so you could get some thumbs up then your a douch. So really you shut the fuck up Gimpy boy.

  • Just get back to your Oprah Winfrey programing you stinky cunt

  • @aussienewsviews, no fuck you dumb ass show me one thing in which they promoted it and I'll eat the yard of shit. But really it seems like your the one eating the shit cuz that's all that's coming from you.

  • McCartney siempre fue mejor que lennon y lo demuestra con esta rola.

  • And just in case I'm talking to you Aussienewsviews

  • @wewillbugyou Yeah yeah yeah

  • How are you gonna be glad George Harrison let a lone a human being, died from cancer? Jus cuz they did it and promoted it?? Bull shit they didn't go around saying do LSD or acid or marijuana. So while your reading this and thinking what to write back at me think about all those other people that have died from cancer. Fuck you you heartless piece of shit you know who you are.

  • @wewillbugyou Fuck you moron I was there. I saw and heard what was said and done and the manifestations of that bull shit phony Beatles All ya need is Love Acid Drugged Fucked arse clowns.

Natural Justice would demand that they are all behind bars or in mental asylums, two down two to go thats something I suppose.

Four Clever Jugglers and Clowns in the right time and the right place, If you want to eat a yard of their shit go ahead but don't expect me to.

  • The Beatles were a force of Nature. They showed us that with enough love, you can do just about anything. There are hidden messages and meanings in many of their songs. To find out what they are, search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read the section about The Beatles.

  • @vividDC The Beatles were an incredible force for so much joy, but unfortunately for so much DRUGGED FUCKED misery with their endorsement and promotion of LSD and Pot

I am sort of glad Harrison died of Lung Cancer given the number of his followers who would have also died from Lung Cancer after believeing his and the Beatles promotion of LSD and Pot

  • @AussieNewsViews How can you be glad that someone, anyone at all, died of lung cancer?Do you know what you're talking about?Who do you think you are, God or something?

  • @gio73vanna Once more for the DUMMIES " i am sort of glad Harrison died of Lung Cancer given the number of his followers who would have also died from Lung Cancer after believeing his and the Beatles promotion of LSD and Pot"

Whats wrong with that statement ? A purveyor / promoter of a POISON dies from his PRODUCTS side effects

Its called walking the walk, who knows how many people would be alive today if it were not for the "Fab Fours' endorsement and promotion of lethal illegal drugs.

  • @gio73vanna There are times when I do believe that I am indeed God, but there are other times when I believe that I am me, however I have never believed that I was a Beatle.

  • @vividDC A force of Nature ? Gimme a break

They were clever musicians who were able to write very "listenable" elevator Music, just like the Monkeys and the Partridge Family, Rock Music for Geeks and hip refugees from Andy Williams Music.

  • Paul's bass lines were always so much fun:) What an awesome song!

  • no no no! Jimmy was 23 in 76.'

  • If Paul really did die, William Campbell is probably the greatest composer ever.

  • Give me this music any day over modern music.

  • and Jimmy McCulloch was only 19 years old, what a great band !

  • I hated the drummer during this incarnation of Wings...sloppy as shit! Somehow it worked, though. Who am I to question PM?!?!

  • Real music is live!!

  • You know a band is good when the live version is better than the studio recording.

  • who the heck is playing the guitar! Why isnt Denny Laine playing lead?

  • @kwamlinkidz Just sit down and listen to some good music,

  • @kwamlinkidz Denny is playing along with Jimmy McCullough

  • ledge...

  • when he became the bassist for the beatles he played bass, but he didn't just play bass...

  • I don't care who you are - THIS was good music - singable - good words. Paul McCartney was, is and always will be, one of the greatest!!

  • where is the I LOVE THIS button?i only see LIKE and thats not enough for me

  • @brandons3 Where's the i'm crying button?

  • Goosebumps.

  • Paul McCartney best songwriter in the history of music.

  • this really is the cool stuff too, wings, eagles, ccr, fleetwood mac, thin lizzy, led zep, dylan, stones i could go on all day!

  • The man can play the bass...time when they played music live...listen to any new artist live and we have to wait for that very special performance like this which for him was every time@@

  • Er, don't think so, this version is class, all other ones suck after this xx

  • I agree with all of these "I was born at the wrong time" same here, I listen to this song a LOT and people are like "Ew what is that shit" and I'm like, "uh no I think the shit you're referring to is your overly autotuned shit"

  • My parents didn't have me at the right time...I was born into the era of shitty music...man that's not fair my parents got all the good music

  • My parents did have me at the right time...I was born into the era of shitty music...man that's not fair my parents got all the good music

  • 13 people's fingers slipped and they accidently clicked the dislike button!

  • WHY!!!! why did my dad's generation get all the good stuff and i get Justin Beiber of all things!! WHY!!

  • @Hydasta god hates us thats why

  • @scarface12347

    Lol what?

  • @Hydasta dont look to the mainstream for good stuff. our generation is pumping out amazing stuff just its not mass marketed like that kid you talk about. even saying his name is the reason why you get him... 41 people promoted his name as well by liking your comment. if we dont give attention to crap, it will go away and an opportunity for classics like this have a chance to become mainstream. never say that name again

  • @standalonesolid is that kid called voldemort? hehe

  • @spepper 1 month ago 41 ppl liked a comment about the glistening mud child known as Ju******n Beeberdiddle (never say his name, its an ancient necromancer word supposedly.) wait who is voldermort

  • @Hydasta well if it's any comfort..at least you know....

  • @Hydasta I wonder the same ¬

  • @Hydasta cause by the time our generation hit, the oldies took all originality and now we're stuck with their scraps. rave beats and crappy song lyricists.

  • @Hydasta thats the 21# century my friend. Sometimes dead is better(yes im talking about you justin if you see this)

  • @Hydasta This.

  • @Hydasta That's why I want to kill Justin Bieber...

  • @Hydasta ..don't kid yourself.. there were plenty of Justin Beibers running around in the 70's. As long as there are teenybopper girls, there will be Pop stars like JB.

  • @Hydasta I'm a Reagan baby. While there was no Beatles, I wasn't necessarily disappointed with the 90's

  • was paul realizing how great composer and singer he was?

  • @MyDreamside no. mother nature gave him a certificate of authenticity when he was born, which read "You will one day be part of one of the greatest bands that ever lived. Though even the greatest of bands cannot live on forever, but after the band's end, you and the rest of the group will live on in success with more amazing songs."

sorry im very bored at the moment and thought that would be rather entertaining lol

  • My 8 times buying Band On The Run:

    1.-Single 45RPM EP Vinyl, 2.-33RPM LP Vinyl, 3.-8 Tracks Tape, 4.-Casette Tape, 5.-CD Disc, 6.-Mp3 Digital, 7.-DVD Vid, 8.-2010 Remastered Version.....Whats next?.... I'll buy it....... What The Heck !!!!!!.....

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Brings back so many wonderful memories..just to be young again.

  • I just think Denny Laine is so cool here...and Paul tooo...and I believe Joe English on drums...powerful band...if we ever get out of here...lol.....

  • A melhor versão de todas!!!

  • Wow is Paul's based turned up or what???

  • Reminds me of the summer of 76. I used my paper route money to buy an Atari video game with all tfour games: Tanks. Battleship. Asteroids and Pong. Thanks for the video and the memories...
