Who cares if the games are old? Sure, I like to play Skyrim and Assassin's Creed but I also regularly play Settlers II (released in 1996). The best game of all time for any platform was Elite, a 1984 game that has never been equalled despite being older than I am. Gameplay is timeless!

FPS: Half Life/Counter Strike (i don't like FPS games that much but i know they were some of the most famous FPS games of all time)

Driving: GTA series and NFS series (I am not in to this genre either but to be honest i don't think there is anyone out there who never played NFS or GTA)

RTS: Warcraft 3 and Starcraft (i won't comment about those lol)
