@flameager yes, it should work with anything. Only the block with redstone(torch) ontop must be redstone conductive. I used stone for my slime farm afk room door.

@BuilderJah Dig two blocks down where you want your pressure plates and put redstone right there then cover it up and put the pressure plate on top...that's the only thing you need to add as of 1.0.0 I think. It's working for me, so...
