If I've said it once I've said it a million times. The foot has to bend. He needs a two part foot. Each finger on each of ASIMO's hands has three independent joints but his foot is a solid lump. One-quarter of the bones in the human body are in the feet. Thus the foot is a very articulated structure.

excluding that part (though i completely agree, it would make it much more supple and lithe) you gotta admit that ASIMO is very advanced for us. some people still dont even know we're capable of making robots yet
