Brilliant! Cows are very curious. They probably think it's a very young one so will go and sniff/lick it. The dog is probably thinking, "wow - big dogs"!!!
My dog used to think horses were big dogs. Cows also like music, but if you ever walk across a field, don't run or they will all run after you due to being nosey. People think they are going to be attacked, but all they want to do is be friendly. I couldn't eat cow, so I'm vegetarian!!!! (Wouldn't eat a dog either.)
