The mom asking about the glasses could have been funnier if it were more real, like, "why are you wearing those sunglasses..it's dark in hear" It's a very real reaction, therefore funnier. And your reaction to her is a little over the top. Owen wilson in tennenbaums, "please stop belittling me" is great. But, what kid would freak out because his mom critisized him? it would be a subtler reaction in real life. therefor funnier.

"milk and cookies" is really my only example. But it's a big one... it kept me from laughing at an otherwise great joke. keep up the great work.
