  • i hate this guy

  • if you turn your room's lights off and rock the pedal fast enough, you'll think the poh lease be comin!

  • Great review Paul. As always.

  • can you use either a 110 and 220 power supply for people who travel a lot to europe?

  • LEDs kick ass!!!

  • Paul rules!

  • Who cares what Cindy Craw-daddy drinks? It didn't cure that thing growing on her face -which is ONLY cute until she gets wrinkles and her skin starts turning green and starts riding a broom instead of Richard Q**er...

  • I know GuitarWorld are a Corporate Ho, and as such are NOT going to mention any other brand during a review because let us face it; THEIR "reviews" are adverts. But this dude needs to at least tell us what KIND of amp he uses! As in -you know, is it class a, or ab. Is it single-ended. Master volume. 6L6, EL84 power tubes or other. Or solid state.

  • he starts playing at 318, no im not bullshittin you...4 minute review and marty mcfly talks for 3 minutes

  • Useful, of course. Would it get on my board? Nah.

  • yeah ugly as f.......................

  • Why oh why do they make it so ugly!

  • not a very attractive pedal. Sounds good, but looks bad.

  • Does this pedal use 9V DC or AC power?

  • @GuitaryAidy

Just listen to the review, he says at 1:10

  • @Chadlynx LOL haha, I bet he is the same person who says on all the videos: "SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PLAYYY!!!!"

Guys like that are just gonna end up with broken pedals.

  • @GuitaryAidy did you not listen to him?

  • Paul rules!

  • Did he seriously just make a spinal tap reference?

  • @Alphastyx7 why didnt they just make ten louder?

  • @skatepark02 This goes to 11.

  • With only that many LEDs does that mean that there are only THAT many levels of volume? Or does the volume increase smoothly throughout the levels?

  • Is the case metal or plastic? The looks of it don't give me confidence...

  • @mindflashbr The Visual Sound website says it's made from die-cast aluminium.

  • i've been looking into this, i bought EB because i thought if its good enough for the pros... I love everything about the EB's, the feel, the look, the size, construction.. but it was only till i did an AB test between it and the amp that i found this tone sucking. Actually with my TU-15 tuner (high impedance input) i only found slight tone sucking. Its the actual pedal! hopefully the visual sound buffer will help.

  • I'm sure this vol pedal is great but it sure looks ugly! what a shame

  • @thinwire agreed. I liked the concept but I went w/an ernie ball instead.

  • @ProdigyKimXP I have an Ernie ball and it sucks top end, which is why i looked at this one, as everyone raves about it. Its just too damn big. I'm hoping a buffer will do the trick!

  • @thinwire hmmm.... my ernie ball has served me well. I do hear a few have problems but I've loved mine so far. However, I don't use the tuner out. It sucks tone a little...

  • Aren't you supposed to "HEAR" where you are volume wise?

  • Fucking boring

  • paul rocks.

  • Could you use this as an expression pedal?

  • @gazuul yup, they've got instructions on how to plug it in like that with the manual

  • @BradSpead7 Then this is the one and only choice! WOW what a pedal!

  • so the only difference between this and a standard volume pedal are the LEDs?

  • @solp383 no, its also got an internal trim-pot to boost the output, so it almost acts as a clean boost as well depending on how its set

  • the heart of this pedal is in its guts... as opposed to what?

  • i own and have gigged with this pedal for months and it owns any other volume pedal out there.

  • steve vai uses this!!!

  • do you put the delay before, or after the Volume Pedal for the swells?

  • i like that van halen cathedral-type lick.

    :P

  • And the Parkinson's Disease jokes start in 3...2....1..........

  • His hands make me uncomfortable.

  • @ZachDRUMMOND me too man

  • WOW, i heard mo change in volume at all, this volume pedal is boring others sound really cool

  • BORING? f*** you, volume pedals are incredibly necessary!

  • Seems like a great product !

John Mayer uses something just like this pedal live in concert

  • Make something simple really complex...just what the world needs

  • haha! I like your channel dude...... this is a typical English comment. "Holding on in quiet desperation is the English way"

  • @sportsportsport ...Thanks! - still hanging on.Lol

  • @sportsportsport Richard Wright sang that.

  • thanks, girlfriend

  • the voice is like a girl

  • Could this be used as a kinda master volume for a plexi? (wthout taking any of the gain away?)

  • @assult44 - no..you need something like a Marshall Powerbrake or a THD Hotplate

  • if there is an FX loop yes, if not it'll be like a voulme knob

  • i want it. lol

  • be funny if he placed his hand near the circuit board and got an ESD shock and wrecked the pedal.

  • with my boss volume pedal i can still hear my guitar signal but its very quiet

and the knob on the side of it is turned all the way to the right like it should be

  • What about the Flux capacitor?

  • haha o yea

  • ya it will make your guitar go back in time hahahaha

  • it is conected via a jeffries tube to the main polarity initiator.

  • your a fucking legend lol

  • @zordakAU

let's go back to the future marty!!!

  • I really dont like the voice of this demoer. I preffer the voice of the proguitarshop demos

  • I stopped listening to him after "volume pedals are boring"

  • quit hatin andy is insane he rocks 10x harder than this clown!

  • ok using a volume pedal-i want to have a nice clean sound, the sound u get playin on clean with the voulume not all the way up,but then say if i want to stomp on my distortion pedal, i need to turn the guitar volume up while i hurry and step on pedal and then hitt a powerchord, like playin enter sandman nice clean intro then distotion with volume blasting, would a volume pedal do that for me

  • A Volume Pedal could do that. Or you can set the level on your distortion pedal (assuming it has one) high, to get a higher out put. Or you could just get a booster like an MXR Micro-Amp.

  • probably just annoying

  • lol i know, his personality and looks, i think hes adam lamberts brother, he def reminds me of him

  • Toboca. You're stupid. When you use a wah as a volume pedal, it kills the guitars tone. Makes it feel like you covered it in a blanket.

  • that delay part's awsome, and this is the best reveiw of any pedal ive ever found on youtube...

  • yeh those volume swells are really cool, it's a lot easier doing it with your feet rather than the volume pot on the guitar itself, you could almost make the guitar sound like a violin when you swell the sound in and out

  • i own a passive volume pedal for one reason, rp70 control , though i do like to use mine as a killswitch , as my guitar is a stratoscaster

  • that probably sucks the shit out of ur tone

  • ahahaha u use a wah as a volume pedal??? oh man. thats just wrong. that means suffocating your tone of bass/treble ratio. thats just plain stupidity right there. do u have ears?

  • lol, dumbest comment on youtube, lol

  • nice!!

  • CRANK TO ELEVEN!

  • I thought volume pedals were worthless. Now they're awesome!

  • so awesome
