Dear Terry : You might be interested to know that Liberace's housekeeper and second "mom" Gladys Luckie recently turned 100. I've just been sent some photos taken of her on the great day. Much more frail though than when I first met with her many years ago. A wonderful woman!

@terryclary Gladys gifted me some of his more casual clothes (still a touch showy though!) which I have tucked away here in a camphor chest! Aside from being a great showman he was also a sweet sweet man.

Alas it was not my song. He may have just liked the title and not the song. He would be a better judge than me, that is for sure. I like to think the title of my song inspired him to his, but that is just wishful thinking I excpect.

@terryclary I think he may well have been inspired by your song Terry. Truly. That is why I asked. I know his own "signature" song well. Musically I do think your song triggered an idea for him. I can hear it. I think you can safely say there's a connection between the two and your song reached and inspired him. You know, I came to know a lot about Liberace the man, away from the stage. He was grounded and caring. I never met anyone who did not know him who did not weep in memory of him.

Yes..- i like short hair too more though in ancient times long hair was male.. but just few men have so beautiful hair to have it long.beven not many women have so full hair to do..... but now it is anyhow fashion not to wear hair too long..both... males-females....;))

Did you know I used to stay in Liberace's Palm Springs home during my visits to the States in the early 90s? If you go to my website, in the Tribute Pages you will find a remembrance I wrote of my time there called "A Sequin of Events". In 1989, 1990, 1992 and 1994 I played in Vegas at celebrations honouring Liberace and his remaining family and friends took me to their hearts and became the dearest people ever to me.

@terryclary Terry : The Liberace Museum in Vegas closed its doors to the public on October 17th. Hard to believe. His legacy, as he wanted it to be remembered is almost gone. The Vegas home too. All too sad.
