well actually, there very easy to kill, i had 10 space marine troops in a game against 2 squads of genestealers and other tyranid squads, and i won with 6 of my space marines surviving

The fluff makes them out to be too strong, especially their current codex where half the time whenever they lose it says it was a smaller hive fleet, and mentions on war going on against the Orks that it describes an inevitable win for Tyranids, which the planet strike that first mentioned it said had no end in sight. There's also the thing with genestealers infiltrating places that happen so often they practically set them up overnight.

This is awesome. Tyranid's are my third most favored race(Chaos my 1st and Space Marines my 2nd). They are very cool and the way they attack: rush with billions of billions of billions and even more billions(etc,etc you know the story ;D) of tyranids of all sorts(such as Gargoyles,Raveners, Gene Stealers/Genestealers, don't remember how it's supposed to look like : /, Warriors, Hive Tyrants, Zoanthropes, etc,etc). Ah, the joys of a tyranid rush, it comes in so many colors and flavors ^^.

I think 'Nids have one little problem that is overlooked...

And that problem is templates, mostly flame templates and blast templates.

Oh, wait, that's two problems.

Doesn't matter to me much; just gives me two more options on how to stem the swarm.

Yeah......the barrage weapons do bother me a bit but they actually have to hit to do damage and I'll admit that when do hit it does hurt but that's why it is a good idea to have lots of bugs.

Secondly Flamers are a problem for me???? LOL you have to get close to the swarm to do that and I always get into hand to hand combat before the enemy has a chance to use em. Just ask the mechanised guard and space marine armies I took down a few days ago.

From what I hear, Tyranids hate flamers. Dunno why, maybe because fire is lethal to them?

Plus, not all blast templates come from barrages. Ever heard of frag missiles?

Refering to my last comment you have to get real close to use flamers and the bugs would have already made into charge range before then (Unless deepstriking). But you may roast about 6 to 10 but then there is the other 60 to 100 or so that happen to be close by ^_^.

Yes I have heard of frag missiles as I have a blood angels army. They don't scare me as much because I can get cover saves from those those unlike with barrage wpns. I hate Griffons.

Don't bash a Marine player because he collects (in my opinion) the most popular army in 40K

And no army is better than another; it's all about how you play and what's in your army list.

For instance, my Orks just recently beat the hell out of Space Wolves purely through good army list and strategy.

They've actually done my 'nid army a huge favour, I can now field over 4k points legally, unlike before where that would have made me use like 7 troops choices to get around 2500 points. It's nerfed my warriors a bit, as they now mostly can't be used due to the new 'all must have the same' rule. But I'll work around that, and re-base my 1992 warriors who now are magically legal again.
