That was a fun time, to-say-the-least. Our band (Hardline Drive) attended the party, and I can see from the video shots of us perusing the food table.
I'm not sure really, and didn't get an introduction since this was an informal gathering of many, many friends of Bobby's. The talent there was just incredible and he was GREAT!!
Good stuff, nice Monroe style break, with some cool twists and lots of power. I wish I'd been there to see the rest of the jam. I believe that's Jerry Stuart (Green Valley Ramblers, recorded with Mr. Hicks, wrote "Rocky Run" and "Shot from Guns") on mando standing behind Jens Kruger, and I think to his right is Tommy Edwards on guitar (The Bluegrass Experience.) I wonder if there's more video, I'd love to see it, and sorry I missed being there myself. Thanks for posting this!
I have a few more of Bobby coming in, and folks giving hugs and all. Plus, I have stills that I will post as a MovieMaker feature (WHATTA CAKE!)Thank you so much for helping identify some of these folks. I had hoped someone would view it that might know. It was such a wonderful day, I know Bobby was overwhelmed and as planned, very surprised at this Surprise Party :). I've never seen him look so happy!
Bobby told me Doyle Lawson also came...
