  • smart vid. thanks Ka

  • Great video, Ka! (: Lots of love! xx

  • Thank you Ka, I have wanted to move for so long but thought it was only a dream..any thoughts on moving with pets?

  • Thanks! You are so sincere about helping people:)

  • Ka, THANX for the details. Just wanted to let you know, the having to leave Costa Rica for 3 days for a Visa Run is/has always been a MYTH!! I asked a friend that's an Immigration Cop & he laughed at me saying they had no idea where we got that. Where it DOES say we must be out of the country for 3 days is on the Customs/Aduana form - meaning if you've gone out shopping.

  • As of this date, you only have to have 4 stamps on your passport - one showing you're leaving Costa Rica, one showing you entering another country, another showing you leaving a country & one showing you re-entering Costa Rica.

There is NO amount of time (as of Nov. '10 - Nicaragua [the EASIEST to go in/out of] does require you to be in NI for 2+ hours) to be out.

  • What also IS REQUIRED now is proof that you're LEAVING CR within 90 more days. The cheapest is a bus ticket (I do mine with TransNica or TicaBus) but, though they are Open-Ended Tickets - some people (from what people have been reporting to me - mainly American's) have only been given a 30-day Stamp. I have my ticket dated 89 days (I like to have 1 day for wiggle-room which happened once when Panama's Sixiola's bridge was closed).

  • WhatEVER you do - do NOT mess with this!!! ALWAYS leave before your visa expires!! You are a Guest in this country!!

& do NOT NOT NOT give it to someone to stamp it for you as I have KNOWN people that have gotten kicked out of Costa Rica for this (for 5 years)!!

FYI - I believe the 90-day visa is mainly for Americans, Canadians & Europeans. I think this includes Aussies, etc.

The rest I believe ONLY get a 30 day stamp.

  • Hey thanks for the info and inspiration! This information on traveling is something I have been interested in.
