im getting skate 2 and im not used to flickit controls and im getting it for ps3 and im a lefty and i cant flick with my right thumb for the R3 button :( but i know its worth it

to get rob you need to beat his challenge in the matrix plaza, you have to do a 360 flip to crooks, which a lot of people have had trouble on, but i thought it was pretty easy, and after x games you could finish all the other challenges you havent done, and if you've already done that, then you could try and make a skate vid and post on youtube.

Not to say tony hawks is bad, it's pretty much run-of the mill. EA's SKATE however is prettymuch a classic and the revolutionary new control system and the realism beats tony hawks off the bat - takes a while to get used to but after a few days of playing it just clicks.

the game is amazing people. i'm not kidding. i love it so much. i could play it forever. the whole thing feels like a skate video, or like you're actually skating. the game is so much more meaningful when you're actually a skater because you can definetly feel it. "Skate." is truly revolutionary.

That means your controler is fucked up! I bet you leav it laying face down sometimes, cuz thats what happens. Looks like you need a new controler.

Thats happened to me a few times before, just push the right thumb stick forward or backward. If that doesn't help, try using the left thumbstick instead. Should get you out of that manual easy.

The tricks you see in the background (beside the trick on the long handrail) is from the first challenge. I tried it at the Copenhagen Pro contest, where Ea SKATE was sponsor - and i was AMAZED!!!!

Well if you played it can you tell is it really a realistic game?

One of the things i found really great about the game, is how you do nose- and tailslides (and blunt/noseblunt) you do the ollie with the right stick, then you turn 90 or 270 degree with the left stick, and then you lay weight on the nose or tail, with the right stick. So when you're doing a kickflip backside tailslide, it gets very challenging, make all the moves in time, so they managed to make different tricks hard, and easy tricks like shuvits and kick/heels easy.
