In the belfort/ johnson fight dan the (ref) took anthony out of his fight Who is he to change the sport anthony was working on the ground but was giving very little time before they were stood back up This gave belfort the advantage If all mma fights were reffed this way most strikers would win I felt dan should of given johnson more time to ground and pound I understand dan didnt want a long boring fight but this is part of the sport I didnt see dan try to stand them up when vetor was on top

Warmagawa taps. Saw it live and replay. Joe ignored the replay. He biased, and ur wrong about his treatment of Yamasaki. Silva hit Prater numerous times to back of head. Should have been point deduction or NC. Thought live Stout lost. Wasn't letting his hands and feet go, 2 worried about TD. Greatest UFC KO ever, spinning hook kick, Barboza's TDD looked good, it's 1 fight though. Aldo grabbed the fence big time, should have been a point deduction, don't know if it would have changed outcome.

@bernman23 Side of the head...close but not to that dangerous area. Rogan is insanely biased, i'm not. Regardless, there's a huge discrepancy in what's allowed or not acceptable in the octagon. The refs should have a workshop to get on the same page...sounds mundane an on the absurd side, but double standards are killing the sport. Thx for commenting as always. oh Agree that Aldo should've had a point deducted...how to comeback from a point deduction...knock the guy out.

I can't be 100% sure but I think Rogan called it the first wheel kick KO in UFC and when you talked about Taekwondo, you probably know anyway but Rogan was a U.S. National champ. Not 100% sure if he said wheel or spining hook though

Fast fights meant I got to see more prelims, never got to see the Omigawa fight tho. I agree that Stout won that one. Shame about the Silva DQ also but those dodgy choices aside it was a total badass show. Also I love your Palhares/Sonnen theory, that match up would, to quote Kneebar, give me a 'hard spot in my dick' lol, as does the thought of Aldo moving up a weight class, some great match ups would be had there. Finally, Jose's KO would have been KO of the night on any other night besides this one, if it wasn't for that holy-hell-heel-kick. I loved how he ran into the crowd that was so funny.

The only person I can see BARELY challenging him is Jimy Hettes. Jose's only loss was by rear-naked, so who knows we could see the biggest upset ever with a sub by Jimy haha. I just thought Jimy looked so good against Nam Phan even tho neither were near title-shot contention. I was rooting for Nam too lol.

I loved how Joe was saying "It's over" before Palhares barely even began the leg lock haha.

I was rooting for Anthony, so pretty dissapointing fight for me. But I don't know if you knew, but Anthony HAD to not make weight. The day of the weigh-in doctors said Anthony was so de-hydrated that they told him he had to re-hydrate, and Anthony told Dana what happened and it looked like he understood. Where did you hear these rumors and stuff about him probably being cut? I doubt it, and he shouldn't.

Etim v Barboza also got fight of the night but I didn't see most of it. Saw the KO over & over tho nuts!!

I saw 1, at most 2 shots to the head by Erick, but it shouldn't matter because he was already gonna get the TKO, it's just that some went stray.

Also On Gonzagas fight,Just antoher reason iwas heavy weight and not stuck at 160 as my walk around fight.His opponents stand up at that for a stand up fighter who trains with JDS was TERRIBLE.Theres no other words for it it was that flawed and there were that many wholes in it.

I don't think Dan Miraglotta stood them up too quickly at all. Sure it may have been quicker than some other refs, but I'm glad he stood them up. In both cases Anthony Johnson was lying in Vitor's guard for over 30 seconds, NOT even trying to pass guard and also missing virtually every shot he through. Mike Goldberg was going nuts about how Johnson was swelling Vitor's right eye with powerful ground and pound. Goldberg is an idiot. The swollen eye was from when Vitor's face hit the mat.

Great call on the Stout decision... that was insanity. Stout won that fight... and why weren't the scores announced? That was some shady business that left me saying, "WTF???" Terrible call by Mario and I LOVED the fact that Joe called him out. Refs get the praise when they do a good job and they should get reamed when they blow it. I felt bad for Mario, but he blew that one bad. Palhares needs a couple more wins before he gets a fight with Sonnen. Nice sub, but who the hell is Mike Massenzio???

When did Dan Miragliotta say he didn't want a stalled fight? I mean it seems as if he was told to stand up the fight as quickly as possible if Vitor gets taken down so that he has more opportunities to TKO him in oblivion. I just believe there should be more consistent referring in addition to instant replay decisions. I mean at certain angles the Refs can't see everything properly, and they should make their final call after watching a replay. Anyhow amazing night of fights, glad you enjoyed em
