  • HI there!I had PRK done two weeks ago, but my vision is still kinda blurry. Can you tell me how your eyes are doing now? Bcs I am getting really nervous about it, when am I gonna see totally clearly???

  • Dude ur a clown...LASIK doesnt take 2-3 years to recover from..and if u didnt know what prk stood for, given that u use ur eyes "A LOT", wouldn't u have wanted to find out first? or at least have found out what it was before u talked about it on YouTube so didn't sound like a clown

  • I had PRK done yesterday and feel no pain at all, just discomfort from the contact lens that was inserted after the procedure, unfortunately the lens gets dry. There is some relief after using the lubricating drops. I been through far worse with allergies than now.

I had expected to experience light sensitivity but thankfully have experienced none, It is nothing compared to the sensitivity felt after getting some drops for certain eye tests in which you don't want to open your eyes at all..

  • why are you so ugly?

  • what's up with your ears?

  • how are ur eyes now?? im thinking about getting PRK myself ..im very nervous about this

  • I love your shaved head, dude! So smooth...wanna touch it

  • Hi there,

I wanted to check in and see how the recovery has been. How are your eyes now and how long did it take to get well? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • someone that uses their eyes as much as you??? wtf??? um i only use my eyes part time on the weekends and their off on sunday to conserve energy.... bahahaha wtf

  • how are your eyes now?

  • Lex Luthor

  • damn ur an ass to explain the procedure or how do u feel!!!

  • Photo Refractive Keratectomy

  • Lmao LASIK takes 2-3 years to heal!!!!!!! HAHAHA...its 2-3 days bro.... That flap heals almost instantly. its much better than PRK

  • LASIK works much faster! I had 20/15 the day after my surgery!

  • he is beautiful :D

  • nice eyebrows fag

  • @thegfromwest im a fag fuck me .

  • doe prk laser eye surgery hurt. and are you awake for the treatment ?

  • speak up

  • Seriously, how's your vision dude?

  • soooo......3 years later, hows the vision?

  • Nice startrek ears

  • what was your eyesight before the surgery?

  • Hey! Please let me know how you are doing? I just had this done two weeks ago and I am freaking out!

  • BAM BAM BAM BAM

nigguh get a new house lol

  • I hope I can get this answered as soon as possible, because I would be meeting with my optometrist in about a month on PRK and Lasik, procedure and risk wise.

I know he'd avoid telling me the CORRECT risks, so I'm here to impose the question on to you guys:

    1) Which is safer? They say 95% of Lasik surgeries comes out perfect. What about PRK?

    2) Which operation has the LEAST amount of risks?

  • wow, I don't know to do! I have my appointment for my PRK surgery for Aug 29th and I hope that I'm going to be fine after 3 days....so.....any advice? but, i don't wanna wait more than 2 weeks

  • Hey.

    How are you right now?

    Are your eyes doing okay?

    Please respond.

  • if your eyesight drops , you can always do a LASIK later on after you did PRK. don't get nervous. trust the FDA.

  • lol. i was actually thinking about getting laser eye surgery, but after reading these damn comments, I fear 4 my life. lol. I think I can handle the side effects after surgery, I just don't know about pain during surgery. lol. I have these crazy thoughts that the surgery may make my vision get worse. I don't wanna go blind or anything!!! lol

  • Excellent Video. I am 15 years old and my Doctor said when I'm 18 and am done growing I will be a able to get it. I'm doing it no matter how much of a debate there is. I'm not really worried about it at all because my eyes are so shitty that I need this and I don't care how much pain is involved.

  • wait until you are 30. I had Lasik done when I was 22 and my miopia (nearsightedness) came back. it is best for you to wait than regret. you will grow until you are 25

  • @jman6718 wow man, My doctor said the EXACT same shit. Im also doing it no matter what.

  • @jman6718 do it with cTEN laser. its anew technic much safer. its just laser no touch and takes 30 sec which makes it safer.

  • This is the safer laser right? I have -9 and -10 in my eyes. Do i fall in range for correction?

  • i had both eyes done at the same time and honestly the recovery wanst fun at all burned alot cant open my eyes feels like i have tons of dirt in it and my vision is blurry . and im super sensitive to bright light i hope so much suffering is worth it. sorry for ny typos im writing blind this is my 3rd day after surgery. but all i can say isrecovery HURTS

  • @johchino1 I had lasik done on both eyes less than a year ago. Results are fantastic. Recovery was uncomfortable for the first couple of days with blurry vision and a scratchy feeling from the eyes, but that all went away within a week, and I was able to see well enough to drive myself to my follow appointment the following day. Overall took a month for my vision to crystallize. Best investment I've ever made. Just make sure your doctor knows what they're doing.

  • look dudes just never get lasik/lasek. alot more can go wrong during surgery and even after surgery if you get a blow to the head it can permanently fuck up your vision

  • how is it now?

  • how you doing now? its been about 1.5 years for you. Any problems?

I had Lasik done almost a year ago and still see night halos and day/night glare. Any laser eye surgery seems to be controversial, best of luck.

  • Hey I'm 19 years old and I plan if not at 20 at 21 to do the PRK surgeon.

Can you describe me the surgeon experience and the afterward procedure you had to follow (taking drops, pills etc.)

Was it hard with these iron things opening your eye because I got not very open eyes-_-

I saw at youtube the video and got scared..:=

Please answer me (I got 7 and 7.5 grades)

  • I am coa certified, and work in a refractive clinic that does prk and lasik surgery. If you are planning on doing prk(which is the safer surgery)Plan on at least 2 months before your vision is really clear. You should be using medicated drops and artificial tears for at least the first 2 months. This guy making the video really doesnt have a clue what he is talking about. A lasik flap never actually heals and could even dislocate 10 years post surgery. Prk heals back to natural corneal integrity

  • The reason that these doctors are so "cavalier" is because you are the exact person who calls constantly after surgery even though you were told what to expect post surgery. We tell patients not to expect good vision for at least 2 months post surgery. If you weren't told that, then the doctors who did your surgery needed better informed consent prior to surgery.

  • Thanks a lot for the information.

And what do you mean by saying "A lasik flap never actually heals and could even dislocate 10 years post surgery. Prk heals back to natural corneal integrity "You mean the vision gets cleared and you got no problem after the 2 months at all?

  • hey dude hows your eyes now please let me know ?

  • Hey man. Glad you made a video of your opinion. I just had PRK surgery 4 days ago. I'm sure you realize doesn't feel any pain during surgery. After 2 days since surgery, I noticed a marginal improvement in vision. After 4 days, I noticed again but this time a more noticable improvement since day 2. This is my 4th day and obviously, I feel I can't see good enough to drive right now, but I'm enjoying the improvments.

  • It is normal..and PRK is WAAAAYYYY more painful than the conventional lasik. Hope you used all of your eyedrops!

  • atleast you can still see your camera!! jk... think I'll get it done too... I'm tired of glasses and contacts

  • During my recovery, my eyes were very light sensitive during the second week and also felt quite dry. Also twice in the morning my eyes had so dried out overnight they had stuck to my inner eyelid. I used a gel at night to prevent a recurrence.

I have a good pair of sunglasses now to protect my eyes from UV rays when I'm out. My previous pair of glasses were transitions that darkened automatically, and protected from UV. I couldn't be happier with the results, and they are still getting better!

  • If u don't mind me asking, what was your Rx before and how long did it take you to get to clear vision? I had PRK about 5 days ago, and I too have dry eyes (which I attribute to the lenses I have to keep in) and some light sensitivity. My vision is better, but it's hard to gauge with these contacts in.

  • My Rx was -3.5 and -3.75. I had LASEK on Friday afternoon, and by Monday night/ Tuesday morning I was able to see clearly. There was still some double vision and ghosting, but I was able to resolve small details enough to read clearly. The blurriness was pretty much gone.

I had my contacts removed on the Wednesday, and was able to drive to get there. Since then, my vision has progressively improved. Good luck with your recovery. Stick to your eye drop regimen and be patient.

  • Ummmm..... for people who use their eyes as much as you??? Wow. I'm assuming 99.9% of people who log in to youtube does a fair amount with their eyes. Did you not do ANY research before hand? I had PRK done, and it was almost a 10 days before I had clear vision. But I allotted for this time, because I actually read information about the procedure. I hope things cleared up for you and you're able to see clear, but maybe you should check things out before hand from now on.

  • Hi thanks for posting. I've read that it can take anywhere from 3-6 months to recover fully from PRK, but I also heard it's better for those considering taking part in any boxing, contact sports, or for anyone considering becoming an air force pilot (because of the pressure). Just curious. Have you recovered fully and do you see perfectly now? Thanks.

  • I'm at over 2 years and they still can't get it right for me. I see halos at night and things like lights and digital clocks are "doubled". I have had 2 "enhancements" since my first treatment and I would never do this again!!

  • What Shoemoney says about the doctors being cavalier and saying everything is normal is SO TRUE. They simply want to avoid any sort of malpractice. That is their primary objuective. My vision has never been quite right since I had LASIK. I often regret having it done.

  • I have chosen PRK six years ago, there was no LASIK back then. I was operated with a Zeiss MEL70 laser. My diopter was -1.75 left eye and -1.50 right eye. Everything was perfect for about three years time, then my sight started to fail back to that stage before my surgery. I went back to the clinic, that did PRK on me again 4 days ago, this time with a MEL80 laser. So I wait for another three years to see what will happen...

  • omg plz plz plz tell me if it hurts because i might get it in a cuple of years and if it hurts i think ill stick to contacts

  • It hurts a bit after the procedure, for about two-three days. No serious pain, believe me. You are very photosensitive, you weep a lot, you cannot open your eyes in some period of the day. So you sleep, that's the best you can do. During the operation, you feel absolutely nothing.

  • ohhh hmmm i guess thats good to know thanks you for the infomation

  • One more thing. How old are you? When was the period your sight has failed?

  • well im 14 and ive had glasses ever since i was 9 and just recently got contacts and i have astigmatism and my mom wants me to get the surgery in a few years

  • I see. First, you have to wait until your sight stops failing. Very important. Second, you have to be at least 18, but many scientific papers suggest 24 due to body growth. So do not hurry if you want the best results. What is horror, I read about a guy who had this LASIK procedure. He had a car crash and his flap separated from his left eye when he hit the airbag. It enough for me to recommend PRK instead of LASIK or any forthcoming procedures involving flap creation.

  • wow thats pretty scary..but any who thanks for the the info and the help =]

  • hi! I'm having an eye exam on november 5th at Lasik Md (3 months of recovery)...I'll keep you update with my healing process!!

    Thanks for all your comments!

  • man...i'm soooo happy to get info at first I did'nt know about prk and thought there was no hope because i have such a hight astimatism i'm talkin blind folks -7 so now i'm getting info on prk and I am definately interested...it's the recovery time that scares me tho first 3 days are hell not looking forward to that...especially when lasic people come right outta surgery seeing 20/20 and no pain! I wanna be like that....

  • Hi everyone! Here's a little update on my healing process! Last Thursday I went to Lasik MD for an eye exam... After a month and a half I'm already 20/20 on both eyes. My left eye's healing a little slower but everything is doing fine! With both eyes open I could even see 3 letters out of 6 on the 20/15 scale!! Man it feels good after all the suffering I've been through!

  • thanks for your updates i really appreciate them!

  • !! thank you ,thank you ,thank you sooo much you guys i really needed this imput i hope all of you all have 20/20 i wish you that with all my heart ,i am seriously concidering having the surgery ,and all of this info really helps me ,god bless you all

  • if anyone of you you have any questions regarding the prk procedure...just ask! my msn is vegnagun3 at hotmail

  • There's lot of people around me that had the classic Lasik eye surgery done (the one with the flap) and they were so happy the next day!! My first week after the PRK surgery was a total nightmare, neverending pain with nothing to stop it! no sleep for 3 days!! I know it's just a week but man!! I wouldn't do it ever again!! My advice...go somewhere else just to see if you can get the classic lasik!! Get PRK if it's the only solution available!!! hope this helps

  • but in general everything is recovering as normal as the eye doctor told me last week!I'm going back to work tonight and there won't be any problem! I can easily drive my car and do the usual stuff! I anyway PRK total recovery can take 6 months! In the morning when I wake up I still need to wear sunglasses inside the house for a couple of minutes for my eyes to get used to the light then I can take hem off, but outside, I still need to wear them everytime! To be honest, I wouldn't do it again!!!

  • !! thank you ,thank you ,thank you sooo much you guys i really needed this imput i hope you have 20/20 i wish you that with all my heart ,i am seriously concidering having the surgery ,and all of this info really helps me ,god bless you

  • I had my surgery on august 5...now my vision is getting better and better. I was around -5 on both eyes and now (3 weeks later) I can say that my vision without glasses is great but not perfect yet! I would say that my right eye vision is like 80% or 85% from perfect. My left eye is recovering a little slower..somewhere around 70% I would say and there's this thing that bothers me. I'm suffering of astigmatism so my left eye is seeing things a little doubled. hope you understand my english!

  • I had PRK at lasik MD Montreal on 08/05/08. now after a week of recovery I can say I'm seeing better than without my glasses...but my vision gets blurry very fast! and my left eye vision is not as good as my right eye! I have to put eye drops every five minutes and my left eye's little itchy! I hope it will get better in my second week cause I'm going back to work! btw...the first 3 days after the surgery were a total nightmare!!!PAIN PAIN PAIN!!!

  • hi vincethebone, i'm from montreal too and i want prl from lasik md laval. can you plz tell me how ur vision is now? any complications? plz let me know ... merci

  • did you get your vision back or the video was just a joke? :(

  • And also it is important to mention that healing process its diferent for each person, there are some cases , for example a friend of mine that was intervent the same day as i, she actually could see ok after a week! with prk, and i was very blurry at that time still, but i read that the total normal healing time of ephitelium to be ok or not to it is 3 or 4 months normaly, again, depends of each person,so i think you just have to search info about from difrent sources, you wont regret of PRK !

  • i guess elizabeth its feeling much better rightnow, after a month , because i was exacly the same as this guy and now i realize that its normal, because you get desperate at he first week, and yeah it bugs that doctors said that its normal the blurry vision, but theyr right!, i had done my eyes at the same day both 5 weeks ago now and i can see almost perfect ,i feel great!!!you just have to take care and be patience

  • I wish you would have posted a follow up on how her vision is now. My appointment is on WEdnesday and now you have me freaked out.

  • im getting mine done tomorrow, i hope i can still shoot.

  • How about a follow up here 5 m after?

The epithelium might have healed enough to cover the cornea after a few days but it really needs at least a couple of months to become smooth again.

Also the preoperative prescription also matter. What was yours?

  • 'No Touch'™ laser vision correction.

    This technique evolved from PRK.

It also treats the surface of the cornea but unlike other techniques, requires no assistance from manual surgical instruments. It is the only technique to use exclusively the Excimer Laser from start to finish.

    Check my video

  • hehe someone that uses their eyes as much as you?

    roffles everyone uses their eyes..

  • ya, that was kinda cute wasn't it...

I have eyes I guess I don't use them as much as he does...LOL

I think I am going to get this done... thanks for sharing

  • @shoemoney LASIK patients have less discomfort and obtain good vision more quickly — whereas, improvement with PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) is gradual and takes days, weeks or even months. But many surgeons prefer PRK in circumstances such as when patients have thin corneas.

PRK is performed with an excimer laser, which uses a cool ultraviolet light beam to precisely remove very tiny bits of tissue from the surface of the cornea in order to reshape it. You need to grow those cells back :)

  • How is your vision now?

  • mate whatever it is is no substitute for the bowman's layer.

  • =^-^=

  • who gives a f...?

thought you had a poker surgery ;-)

  • poor u :)
