  • .. What part does the Beatles play in this ?!

  • piggies and dear prudence

  • All of the music. Jesus christ.

  • Paul vs. Jay-Z? The base track, Piggies, is almost completely a George Harrison composition. So, there's that...

  • it is no draw between jay z and paul mccartney my friend. its not even close. jay z doesnt write his shit...ok. its fucking paul mccartney man. enough said

  • what they need's a damn good whacking

  • Wth? <_<

  • It sounds like this is also using the bass riff from Dear Prudence but it's hard to tell.

  • it's from piggies.

  • The key word was 'ALSO'. There's no bassline in Piggies.

  • dude, no need to get defensive.

  • Man this is so dope

  • what a sick beat.

  • what beatles song is it from?

  • This is George Harrison's song "Piggies," from the first half of the White Album.

  • Piggies

  • makin this whole album by makin two different songs sync up, sometimes more than two songs in one track, he pretty much did make his own music

  • god...... man leave the beatles alone dude... i hate it when ppl tamper with their music,, Couldn't you have mixed it with some other band.. uhh

  • lol he dosent even realise that the video poster isnt the one who remixed it

  • The Beatles weren't always completely original. They too remixed and covered songs and drew inspiration from different sources. Sir Paul McCartney has stated that he has no problem with the Grey Album. That's because he, as a musician, respects remixing and realizes that is part of musical evolution and musical progression. Music is music. Show it respect, even if you don't like it.

  • that was beautiful ;_;

  • yes man

  • Yeah. But if you took paul mccartney and jay z, put them each in a room with nothing but the essential instruments, a pen, paper and with only the ability to overdub, Paul McCartney kicks Jay Z's ass.

  • the only difference is Jay doesn't use a pen OR paper... ever. So it's a draw

  • if you want to here a real shit song look up the beatles cover of the house of the riseing sun it makes your ears bleed.

    this song however kicks ass

  • @losrchild16

Jay-Z had nothing to do with this album, and most of Jay-Z's tracks are original but I doubt you listen to alot of Jay-Z.

Also D.J. Danger Mouse is very skilled. He has a fine ear for music. He's not like most mainstream rappers/ D.J.s who are terrible at sampling and mixing. I'd love to see anyone else attempt such a daring collaboration.

  • That's a Jay-Z mash-up with The Beatles' "Piggies"! The ending part with the strings/violins sounds very dramatic to me.

  • i think that this is very inventive

    I love Jay

    I love the Beatles

But I feel that this doesn't really mesh well

  • It doesnt! They tried to do something different and classic but it still has to combine well, and this doesnt

  • This is dope!!! I'm fellin' it.

  • i'm sort of confused. did mtv2 show the grey album version of this video just like this?

  • nice

  • This hot good job

  • I love the Beatles more than most, and when I heard about this I thought he was going to ruin the Beatles by infecting it with Rap - but it's actually a pretty admirable attempt at fusing the two. I normally hate rap, but this is good. Really good. Remember, it was EMI that sued Danger Mouse, NOT The Beatles, and I think they would appreciate the project.

  • eh... valiant attempt, but it doesnt match well enough for me. I think dangermouse got locked up by restricting himself to just the White album.

  • I personally think it's great that there is a more popular mashup/remix niche of rock and rap. It's creating bridges, bringing people together.

    It shouldn't spark rage.

I appreciate all music. I love The Beatles' music, and I love Jay-Z's music, so I definitely dig this.

    I digress.

I like this better than Tae-K's remix, which used Metallica instead of The Beatles.

  • I agree with you I love the rap and rock music. Best concert I ever went to was a Collission Course Jay-Z and Linkin Park

  • I didn't like that too much before, maybe I should check it out again and see if I do. I've definitely matured in terms of music, so maybe I'll be more accepting.

  • Hip hop was started by using samples from other songs. No need to hate

  • you obviously never heard some of his early work with yoko, Lennon would LOVE this type of experimentation

  • Absolutely.

  • um......... no, he wouldn't. i'm in love with the beatles. john would have hated people ruining his songs and treating his hard work as their toilet paper.

  • Comment removed

  • actually, i think he would't even care

  • you're not a big enough beatles fan to know that lennon liked experimentation then...for gods sake did you hear his stuff with yoko

  • Sampling is actually quite difficult to do if done right yeah taking a loop isnt hard but chopping it up is.

Its not like dangermouse dosent give credit to the beatles

  • Ok dude you know every thing man.

Again looping music is easy chopping it is difficult. What band are you in? I wanna try to get booked at the same club you play at so i can boo the fuck out of you and call your art lazy. I wouldnt do that tho cuz i respect every thing except death metal, even that takes some talent

  • i like this !

  • I don't think this album is actually that good. It's a good concept, but I think it's just badly implemented.

  • he already has reached their fame level.

  • no one has reached there fame level

  • i hate rap and i hate theifs even more

  • don't listen to it then and keep your opinion to yourself fucktard

  • The Grey album version of this song is so much better then the black.

  • I'm not a big fan of either separately, but together, this is pretty awesome, the whole Grey Album is great

  • genius!

  • go piggies!

i'm not a huge fan of rap, but i AM a huge fan of the beatles!

    this mix is sweet! :)

    happy happy tune

  • Pharells sweet 1:59

  • dude...dangermouse..is a fucking genius...just listen to the little intricacies...how did he make it so perfect?...wtf i want that shit haha

  • this shit makes me feel all giddy inside.

  • The Beatles were my favorite but I quit being a small minded asshole about a year ago and now hip hop is my favorite.

  • Dangermouse is a genius.

  • i'm not a big fan of jay-z alone, but i love the beatles, that said what dangermouse has done to this is genius.

  • the beatles are the most overrated group of all time. dont get me wrong theyre great but nobody is perfect or untouchable and i bet if john lennon was still around and heard this he'd fuckin love it.

  • U know...ur comment is probably the smartest one i've seen about the rap remixes of the beatles...ur prob. right about john...everyone keeps freaking out like its the second holocaust or something...just chill out, they're olny songs...

  • not a kiddy beat, it was sampled from The Beatles

  • well im not dumb i know its from the beatles but it sounds like u would see a kid dancin to dis

  • fantastic remix

  • the girl at 2 mins 55 secs is deffinately sexy sexy. Wicked Remix.

  • "one more time"

  • Piggies

  • yeah this was the tighest one off the grey album

  • This remix is way better than the original song on the black album.

  • phat remix

  • great mix

  • This is so perfect.

Piggies is such a great song.

  • no doubt the best remix

  • spot on

  • OMG!!! Fire!!

  • Ya Shout outs to DangerMouse. Rancdphx its not blasphemies no one is trying to say its better its creative. Brining the beatles back

  • this all depends on the type of music you like more, im sure if your a big fan of the beatles you would like the original better. Personally, i dont think i could listen to the entire white album or black album but them combined is just pure genious

  • I wouldn't listen to THE BLACK ALBUM because I didn't like Jay-Z (even though we're from the same neighborhood), but it took a white boy from upstate NY that I was working with in a theater in New Hampshire to hip me to THE GREY ALBUM. He was surprised I've never of it. I do have THE WHITE ALBUM from The Beatles. So, yeah, Phoul, you're right; I adore The Beatles, and DJ Danger Mouse's genius to mix their music in conjunction with Jay-Z's, I began to appreciate Jay-Z more.

  • I agree w/ you mickieggie; I wouldn't have listened to the black album if not for the genius of DangerMouse & the BEATLES (is that Billy Preston on the keys??). He KILLS it @ 4:16!

  • Surprisingly, that was Chris Thomas (one of the producers, in conjunction with George Martin, the main producer) playing on the harpsichord on the song PIGGIES. It does sound hype mixed with CHANGE CLOTHES, though.

  • no one gives credit to the mastermind who mixed it. DANGERMOUSE ALL THE WAY!!!!

  • bass is fat on this

  • i agree with rancdpnx

  • beatles my top five group, jay my fav rapper... wow sound good

  • HAHA!!! I love when people mix two genres of music. THis is even better than the Beatles' piggies. :)

  • this is NOT better than the beatles. Curse your blasphemies. Its cool though

  • the mix is good, but the beatles are better

  • nah piggies is better because people can actually understand what george harrison was singing. except for a few discernible words like "change clothes" and "sexy sexy," these lyrics make about as much sense as the alien language used by adults in the old peanuts cartoons.

  • Quit being so narrow minded. I really wouldn't listen to too much Mainstream rap but this is great. And no matter what type of music you prefer, nothing is better than the other. It is all a matter of opinion friend.

  • I like to smell my own farts.

  • Gratz.
