  • I hate this fucking game, the shitty team aerial counter never works when I try it.

  • they never put this back, they made it comboable when you knock them back into the wall

    Aerial Combos kinda sux (Too much overpower)... The defender got 1/4 of chance to counter it and everytime you switch the chars you gain a Special Bar... for me, you should LOSE a Special Bar everytime you switch chars in a combo!

  • They left it because that would make a ridiculously long air-based combo. And where's the achievement of the part of the one who made the air attack? It is good that they simply leave it only in a counter.

  • I THINK, I can't quite remember, but once I did the team aerial counter...

    I was getting my ass beaten on the air against the CPU on Very Hard (This is the very first fighting game I decided to play on my life) and after mashing buttons, I think I did this. Decided to look for it to know how to do it and end up with this...

  • Ok lets see: Take out the team aerial counter! But leave the achievement which can not be completed! Interesting! -_-

  • @wildfire04j You can still aerial counter it just doesn't let you follow up for a combo

  • maybe if it took 1 meter then it would've been fine.

  • @jr317537 It's in the manual. Just like you would do an aerial tage, to counter it you have to guess what direction they are tagging along with S

  • it wouldve been stupid to have cuz then kids would keep countering all day it like ooo got you aww and then he does it and you counter and go haha! got you again and it keeps repeating.....

  • @xXMarshyKingXx I'm sure it could be limited just like how they limit the amount of ground bounces and wall bounces per combo. They could limit it to 1 actual reversal counter, then allow the other person to only break it and not reverse it.

    I'm sure capcom had it's reasons for removing it though.

  • That means the follow up hit after counter has been removed NOW? I can only memorize the opponent will be crushed away after the counter, no any follow up hit was allowed.

  • @chrisyuhc removed since an early build. This was not possible in the final build.

  • Hm some people are not understanding that they removed the follow up after the counter. the counter now just knocks the opponent away. At this early stage of the games development you would counter then start your air combo, but then the opponent could counter you right back. It was probably taken out due to screen heights and ground bounce and wall bounce rules as well as it taking you out of "normal" game play for an extended amount of time.

  • They should've kept it in! Why would they remove something like this? Making a comeback in this game is already a tough thing to do when the odds are against you. This would've helped even things out...

  • Wait a minute, I'm pretty positive I've done this before. It's a different command input from the regular counter but it can be done, at least last time I played, which was about a month ago.

  • @bigto88 really? because in the manual it states. Team Aerial Counter. up, left, right, down + S. prevent opponent from executing a team aerial combo. input the same command as the opponent when they are switching to the second/third character. If you are successful, the opposing character will go flying.

    Doesn't say anything about reversing the roles to allow u to combo right back at them. This was spotted from an old promo video way back in oct or so

  • This version should have cost meter. So you would hit s+assist 1/2 and then whatever direction.

  • If they removed this whats to stop some1 from spamming air combos like this. Not saying YOU spammed the combo im just saying. I mean, by removing that doesnt it make air combos unblockable/ reversable if caught off guard? They could have fixed it. After 10 years of waiting we get an incomplete game? WTF!

  • Hmm.. only reason I can see it being removed is because it could possibly be an "infinite"? As in, I counter your team aerial attack, then you do mine, which I would assume I'm able to use all three characters again, meaning we could just keep countering over and over again.. well I guess they could easily place a limit. I'm not sure. This would be a lot better way of punishing.

  • ummm its good it was taken out you could lose allot of red life from switching

    but yeah its kinda cool looking

  • @palenegroe you only lose the red life when you do a hard tag or the character is forced to come out due to a character dying. DHC's, cross over counter and aerial tags doesn't affect red life.
