Raspypower, can't reply on iPod but for pvp you'll want a crab, I have kil'ua from dragonblight ATM, and the spec is mm or sv, sv has more pvp tools but mm is favoured by many because of chimera shot, posthaste, etc.

The 3 huge icons in my interface are the most essential burst, survival and panic buttons I have.

I click on them with my mouse, and if I hold down Alt, I use battle master trinket, while I use insignia when I hold down Ctrl.

The addon is called ScrollingCombatText. I have downloaded an additional addon called SCT Damage for my own damage to show too.

You have to set it to display the numbers in HUD curves in order to make it the way I have it, where they glide to the left and right.

I'm a survival hunter 80 and i like my spec very much. Makes me happy that i am able to hold my own with 2 horde on me i have try all spec. @bassehugo1300 If you want to play as a hunter you got to understand the basics of evasion; hunters can hold their own in a fight, but they're team players, they need somebody to get attacked for them and instead of them. In 1 VS 1 pvp you need to learn how to keep your opponent at a distance.

Camp a spot in a battleground. I place my pet somewhere next to the flag. I go to the side and shadowmeld.

I just wait for a poor sucker to find my pet, and try to attack it. so before my pet is dead, I jump in the fight and start attacking the enemy.

Things were way different doing season 5.

Resilience didn't scale to pet and they had less HP, which made a warrior or any other strong class able to kill a pet in two blows, even a crab with additional survivability from talents would die in a few blows.

Crabs were nowhere close to how they are today, and you had to use a Cat or another tenacious pet, because you could at least revive them one other time the moment you needed Master's Call the most, while the crab would just die

It's not activated on aggro.

The spiky ball is one of many icons which you can toggle to appear when you get a buff/debuff, when you use the Power Auras Classic addon.

I choose to use it so I can keep track on when Lock 'n' Load is proc'ed, and whether I have one or two shots left of the effect.

All this end-game gear with Rogues which has 80% crit chance while they can't miss, be parried or dodged, Hunters do have a huge problem versus all their utilities. The same goes versus Warriors, Paladins, Druids, Warlocks.. pretty much anything, yes.

It didn't use to be this way though, and it's because WoW is out of control atm, because of all the way too powerful gear everyone can get easily in this content patch.

The current content patch has great effect on the damage of all max-level characters, because even the items which are easy go get, gets better with each set of items which are hard to get that gets added to the game.

My character crits for around 2000 - 3000 with Auto-shots at the moment.

Aha, so by AP you refereed to ATP and not ArP, sorry for my misunderstanding, but 2K ArP seemed a lot more likely than 2K ATP, when it comes to major damage.

You say you have 5K ATP, and I have to work on my ATP, so I doubt you noticed how old this video is, or maybe you didn't look at my armory link, because at the moment I have more than 6K ATP without any buffs or proc's.

Damage has changed since season 5, and the damage people do now, compared to then is just absorb.

Never melee unless they get close to u and try to run and make a gap distance from ur enemy for range since hunters are for range. Hunters only use melee weapons for stats nothing else, go train swords and quest with a bear or a turtle since they maintain aggro so that you don't get hit by the mobs when training and also quest grind to level up faster and do instances and battlegrounds when questing gets boring.

I agreed with most of the statements supernovax have made. Only chance I'd make is, that melee weapons are also used for Wing Clip, to slow your opponent if a mob or player gets close to you.

You should learn all weapon skills, so you don't have to consider whether you have to train a skill to use a new weapon, which is otherwise better than what you already have.

I advice you go deep into either BM or SV with all your talents, until you reach the ability you get in the last tier.

Hunters doln't beat good frost mages easily at all. all a mage needs to do i get in ur dead done with blink, freeze u, then unleash all their spells on you. hunters ranged abilities have a minimum distance, mage's dont.

@eat174 Hunter's doesn't have a deathzone anymore. The word I think you're looking for is "melee range", and versus a proper hunter, a Frost Mage will have a huge problem, because we can use Master's Call to break the first Nova, insignia trinket to break a nova and a stun, Deterrence to nullify damage while we can't use our ranged abilities. With Readiness (which almost any proper Hunter has for PvP at the time) we can use any Hunter relatated ability twise.

If you have around 250-300+ Armor Penetration Marksmanship is the best Talent Tree, otherwise you should use Survival.

Whether Gun, Bow or Crossbow is the best weapon depends on which class you are.

Dwarf earns an additional 1% Critical Strike Chance with Guns.

Trolls earn an additional 1% Critical Strike Chance with Bows.

Therefore Dwarfs prefer Guns over anything els, while Trools prefer Bows. Any other class doesn't earn anything from choosing a specific ranged weapon type.

Your damage output is affected by your Talents, Equipment and Routine.

Equipment improves your base stats, and your Talents affect how your base stats scale and provides you with useful abilities for either damage, defense or resources.

Your Routine will affect your DPS by timing which attacks to use, in order to have the highest damage output.

You should improve your Equipment and choose your Talents carefully to improve your damage.
