A lot of bands the day don't even have 1 good singer, but Uriah Heep had/has the 3 best singers ever! David Byron, Ken Hensley and later John Wetton. AMAZING!

I have had the good fortune to be old enough to have seen Uriah Heep a few times back when G. Thain played bass for them. I have now been playing bass for nearly 40 years and it is because of Gary Thain. You are so right about his sound and his ability. UH live is/was unforgettable. I saw them blow KISS off the stage in 76. GT was not with the band at that point but the end result was the same. KISS committed musical suicide by having UH open for them.

I saw Uriah Heep three times in their heyday back in the '70's. All three times was at the Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino, CA. Loved them. One of my favorite groups of all time.

Loved you guys back then and still find your music to be powerfull and to advocate for the ability for love is still a powerful noble cause indeed. But we all also find we in the end are truly alone on our walk through life and that is the tragedy. Mick Box was very underrated. Still plays better then ever. Hensley and the singer gone. Great band and Mick Box was always fun to listen too. He was right there slinging the ax with the best of them.
