This whole episode underscores the problem with the X-Men: they claim to give a shit about helping humanity with their powers but when it comes down to it they are just a mutant gang that exists to recruit more mutants. How many times do they even help people? Couldn't Storm use her powers to stop famine in Africa? Or couldn't Beast use his vast knowledge of genetics to engineer a cure for cancer? Angel could probably help more people as a certified first responder than as an X-Men in a mansion.
Rogue is like goth in this, and the fact that nobody can touch her, she wears like, nothing in this show.
