  • Clockwork Orange?

  • I love her!!! royksopp!!

  • Comment removed

  • now's thee only, time i'll know........ oh karin

  • Gorgeous music.. I love her :)

  • Captures the times so completely relevantly, there's an imminence in Andersson's perspective that I haven't experienced in such a long, long time. I believe we'll be seeing much more from this beautiful musician in the near future for quite some time. Absolute brilliance.

  • She sounds like SIA

  • youtube arguments are hillarious, each person trying to come out intellectually superior. essays and shit, so annoying. who cares if a faceless person that exists on youtube says something you don't quite agree with

  • @SkurBeats Yes someone finally said what needs to be said! Whats the point in trying to win an argument on here. Totally pointless yet millions of people try! Faceless pointless arguments. Just listen to the music.

  • Why are people always arguing on music videos? Sometimes the comment option just seems like a curse.

  • Repin’ some Carnevale here are we?

  • Neat

  • This song was driving me crazy as the riff reminded me off another song of the 80's. And now I know: New Years Day from U2.

  • of course the past is significant! you can't play Crysis 2 on a snes lol.

  • @redcommando1 Well... You COULD, but it wouldn't be the Crysis 2 we know today. It'd be a 16-bit version sidescroller with a much smaller plot and no online gameplay. xD

  • no future no past only know, liberation

  • @Nabolzi ... Without the past you don't have now and without a future you don't have hope.

  • @westeh

The past is dead completely unimportant, the future is completely fiction, the only thing you will ever have is now there is not a moment that is not now, the future does not exist its mind made up

  • @Nabolzi You are 22 years old and come from a completely useless generation that has contributed nothing culturally or morally. You are but a speck of dust compared to the generations that existed before you graced this earth with your incoherent ramblings. You are a product of history and unfortunately will be the future.

  • @Nabolzi You are 22 and come from a completely useless generation that has contributed nothing culturally or morally. You are but a speck of dust compared to the generations that existed before you graced this earth with your incoherent ramblings. You are a product of history and unfortunately will be the future.

  • @westeh

    you mad bro? :D

  • @Nabolzi * You mad bro? * Is that the generic phrase Gen Y use when they can't think of anything else to say ?

  • @westeh

try to relax a bit <3

  • @westeh The past is important in the fact it has shaped where we are, as well as who we are. But you cannot change the past, so it's not significant -- it is but a memory that can be remembered or forgotten, nothing more. The future also cannot be changed -- it never happens. It's a point of time we never reach, because we only live in the present. We cannot learn from the future -- we can shape it, but only in events that take place in the present.

Thus, the man you were arguing with is right.

  • @TheSe7enthSin Everything in the past is not Significant ???? are you kidding ? .. what about Hitler ? what about 9 million dead Jews? ..... These events shape us and define who we are and dictate our decisions for the future therefore define our future. You are 19 and I think you need to realise that your hormones dictate who you are and you are not making any sense. In 7 years you will look back and think I was an idiot jee wiz the my past behaviour sure did define me in the now future

  • @helbyr1 You obviously misinterpreted the entire comment, and simply summarized through it without taking any of it into context. The FIRST sentence said it shaped where and who we are, so trying to point that out was only reciting the exact same thing I said. Your entire comment, in all honesty, proves my point. The past is only a memory again, that you can remember or forget. Either choice is a PRESENT choice, that determines who you are. The past is only a "guide".

    Age =/= wisdom.

  • @helbyr1 And, lol? If you're trying to say that at 19 (20 in less than a week) is "young and naive", you're trying to make an implication of that age implies experience or wisdom. There are 10 year old children who make 40 year old adults look absolutely stupid. There are kids at only 14 years of age, who have experienced more in their lives than their parents have. Age is only a number that may be a /factor/ into these things, but is only one of many. Don't even bother trying to argue on that.

  • @TheSe7enthSin Everything you say is from your perspective and has no depth. You are still very young in the mind and it shows, Please don't waste your breath anymore because I have lost interest.

  • @westeh If you've lost interest, why did you bother typing up a three sentence response?

It seems someone is incapable of managing an intellectual debate without realizing the obvious futility of things. Everything anyone says is from their perspective -- even what you say. Even what Einstein said. Even what Nietzsche, Plato and Aristotle, Confucius, Jean Bodin, René Descartes, Galileo, and millions of other men were "lacking depth" for your reasoning.

Come up with a better argument.

  • @TheSe7enthSin... Fact is Fact and that is what I have presented to you is nothing but . and you have clearly gone off on a rant from your personal opinions and beliefs. Most of the men you have stated actually had scientific proof to back up what they said. Now to quote the others is debatable as most people either believe or they don't so that is again is what I said a personal opinion and therefore not worth a pinch of salt

  • @westeh You've not presented 'fact'. You presented opinion. You told a man that he comes from a useless generation that has contributed nothing. The man in question is 22 years old. You are comparing him to the likes of generations before him who did not contribute at that age either. The generation you're talking of is young, and untrained. The generation is still growing, still learning.

I don't believe that he meant the past is absolutely unimportant. Just that the present is more important.

  • @westeh That having been said, it's also a matter of context. The past is full of events that we're supposed to learn from, to either avoid repeating the same mistakes or to follow in their footsteps and achieve the same success. History is a guide, a lesson. You can choose to ignore it, however, forget the past, and focus more on the present because the thing about history is that the choices they made may have worked then, but may not work now. So that's how I mean what I said. Make sense?

  • she's amazing. I wish I could see her live here in San Francisco one of these days...addictive

  • Fever Ray = Röyksopp?

  • Comment removed

  • @salumz Thanks.

  • @lleho fever ray is "Karin Dreijer Andersson" she sings some songs on the royksopp albums. also she sings with "the knife" & "honey is cool" and she has an amazing voice :)

  • @HikaraItheos Thanks.

  • a mask of ugly awkwardness to cover something to beautyfull.....lol

  • Amo essa música. ;D

  • Saw her live last year. Had smoked some weed, no heavier psychedelics though. Was pretty awesome, only table lamps on screen, but lots of them, and a laser show just above the heads of the audience. :)

  • @Musicadoresangels That's her stage persona.

  • her music is food for the soul...

  • Someone Please Help....not spam...This is a fever ray song i cannot find on youtube. anyone know it?? globe.tv/dion/?page_id=355&cvid=74

  • Beautiful! ;-)

  • Its bjorks musical daughter . Its fucking amazing.

  • i love this duo

  • i dedicate my dick to fever ray

  • I own my gray and white hair cause I earned everyone of them for every time I went through hell and came back with another saved soul. I am not lying about it anymore. I know I am from the Tribe of the Trail of Tears. It is in my blood and soul and it beats in my heart. When it rains it is because I am to tough to cry from my eyes. I cry quietly in my heart. And the angels cry for me and God sends down the rain to cleanse the air and the land for us. He knows we are tired of the destruction.

  • zajebiste klimat

  • @dzuda zajebiste aj owszem!!!!!! polecam "when I grow up" bo tez wymiata!

  • Awesome Artist:Fever Ray.Amazing Voice,WOW,Great it like it a lot :-)

  • Karin, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very hard to decide which track is the best from her solo album.

This one or If I Had A Heart? What do you think?

My body shivers throughout the whole IIHAH song,

but this track makes me go completely psycho! The hard rhythms and details,

slag, slag, slag! COME HERE SPARROW!

    Love it!

  • @Vindrag When I grow up is her best song :)

  • @Vindrag My favourite's Keep the Streets Empty For Me

  • Karinka to lubi ;]

  • i love tihs sound, this noise, the flow.

    eerie, strange, mesmerizing, beautiful,captivating.

its such a strange feeling i have when i'm hearing on tis

  • I have to admit, I first heard Fever Ray in the trailer for 'Red Riding Hood,' but I loved the song used (which is still unreleased, sadly) so much that I had to look up more of her music. And I love it. I've never heard anything like it before.

  • what is this bitch on, i want some

  • Haha Julien Assange is given the role of The Thief Lord? This picture is actually brilliant

  • @GattonPark Those masks were worn by doctors :P not thieves, they represented Death or something :P

  • @nicco91 the doctors in the middleage wear it, cause they where the plague dealers.

  • @nicco91 GP's actually talking about a book by Cornelia Funke called 'The Thief Lord,' where the character of the "Thief Lord" runs around wearing an old doctor's mask to disguise his identity. In the movie of the book, Rollo Weeks had an identical mask to the one shown here (and it was the sexiest thing since Gerard Butler as the Phantom of the Opera, but that is a completely different story). :)

  • @nicco91 They were worn by the plague doctor were filled with things such as myrrh, mint, sage, etc & sometimes even rags to cover the smell of the victim & purify the air the doctor breathed. He not only dealt with the living but the dead as well being called in to record the death of a plague victim or suspected victim.

  • @GattonPark Now I'm forever going to associate this song with Rollo Weeks...

  • I can't avoid to wonder how many times she fell into the pool during the records =P... But never mind. I'm idiot. The video is brilliant.

  • You totally used a picture of "The Knife"..similar bands but totally unique in their own rights!

  • Sorry, aber die Musik is total langweilig und so was von ausdruckslos und nee, geht ja mal gar nicht!

  • Everything Karin Dreijer does amazes me, shes very talented and more people should know about her

  • I just recently found Fever Ray and I am in love with it. All the songs are creative and listening to one is like taking a sharp breath of freezing air.

  • this song is absolutely amazing...so beautiful <3 loveee it

  • The first FR song I hear was "When I Grow Up" It's not usually my thing (I usually like more high-energy stuff) but I'm completely addicted. It's like breathing on a cold day...part of you still longs for warmth, but the biting cold is unsuspectingly invigorating.

  • I hate the comparison some make to Björk. They really don't sound anything alike at all. They are both great, but very different. The only thing they have in common is strong, unique voices.

  • great music!!. Check out danish act INOUWEE with the song "You" if you like this..THX!!

  • @kaari1 thanks for that post, it allowed me to discover inouwee, and i absolutely adore the song "you"

  • Karin is wearing a plague doctors mask in the first photo. Fuckin awesome.

  • why does she have a penis mask on?

  • @xGrahamP12 is that what your penis looks like? omg...

  • @xGrahamP12 It's a plague doctor mask, you fuckin idiot

  • How bout Bjork, Fever Ray, Tegan and Sarah, and POE mashed into one aweosome concert!

  • @TychoMobiusWolf Fever Ray, Zola Jesus and Soap&skin.

  • @redcommando1 it would fun to meet Jesus!

  • Fever Ray that is a kick ass name like john legend

  • this songs beginning is used in the brittish comedy called IDEAL with johnny vegas in it

  • What is that image from?

  • @max676

    Well, without the "j"...

  • Solo stuff is as good as The Knife or Royksopp for sure. A+

  • Karin, will you marry me?

  • @tzenish To late! Its my Treasure!

  • Every music with Karin is beautiful. I'd love to meet her so much.

  • Fruktansvärt bra.

  • She digs Kraftwerk and Patti Smith...not a bad mixture

  • One of the best songs I've heard in a long time. The Album is incredible too. I don't know if it's my favourite of the 00-09 decade, but it's without any doubt the best I've heard in 2009. I hope Fever Ray will be able to release another album as great as this one. Genius.

  • jabin total ungezogen heute! wer hat lust zu chatten oder camen

  • A fellow youtuber referred me to this artist and I'm really digging it. I was looking for something similar to Bjiork and though not the same it's pretty damn unique. Me likes a lot!

  • Youtube search for:

  • sasadad

  • ok, sorry , i was wrong again, you are right

    lol

  • This song immediately makes me think of swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits

  • one of the best tracks from the best album of 09. Forget A.C.

  • vocally it sounds like bjork....unless its just her accent which is similar, isnt there are sweden/iceland connection in terms of language? or is it denmark and iceland? i dunno.....

  • She's swedish. And icelandic is related to all the nordic languages.

  • @snowball1988 Am danish, dunno how similar icelandic and danish is, but it's somewhat similar, some words are practically identical, but it's not nearly as much as the correlation between the three main nordic countries. I could imagine icelandic as a mix between finish and norwegian or some such.

  • @KanedaSyndrome

Well, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic, German, English, and some others I'm forgetting are all Germanic Languages, and are grouped in the larger Indo-European family, which doesn't include Finnish, which is a Uralic language, I think (not sure). While I'm sure some borrowing has taken place, Icelandic wouldn't be similar at all to Finnish. Swedish, Norwegian, and Icelandic all come from Old Norse, so it'd be more similar to those languages, but not as much to Danish.

  • @Contraceptive Danish stems from Old Norse as well. Standard Danish mainly sounds out of place because the singing pronunciation, found in Swedish and Norwegian, has been somewhat purged. Standard Danish, though, is mainly only spoken on the island Zealand, and you can find Danish dialects across the country that resemble Swedish, Norwegian or even German.

  • from 1:33 piercing fiery chills are shot down my spin

  • mine too

  • It's all an atmosphere, that's why i like it. Mystic.

  • one of the best song, love so much!

  • La voce di Karin è qualcosa di inconsueto, davvero unica nel suo genere

  • é un gran bel disco questo!

la voce di Karin é una fantastica anomalia

    Great artist

  • my faviourite song on the album so sweet to listen to.

  • Has this band something to do with Royksopp? beacuse the voice of the singer and the style sounds very similar

  • Fever Ray (aka Karin Dreijer Andersson) is the singer of the band "The Knife" and sings in some Röyksopp songs (What else is there, This must be it. ) But she does not belong to Röyksopp.

  • @canti4xfire she also features in Eminems new song 'almost famous' which makes him bearable hahaha :)

She sang on the vantage point soundtrack too, a great song called 'Deus'

im so unashamedly obsessed with the knife and all the offshoots that have since came..

  • @canti4xfire bands name was 'Deus' The dong was called slow :)

  • @friggle Karin is my life. Check out my song and give me feedback...she's a huge inspiration.

  • @canti4xfire she also sings in royksopps Tricky Tricky

  • @canti4xfire She belongs to herself. As every one. But she knows about it...

  • Yes! Karin Dreijer is audible on similar Royksopp Tracks like "what else is there"

  • Thats because she features on that track lol

  • Comment removed

  • yeah

  • Gørgeous i love this artist, she has difference accent and voice, I †otally this †rack.

  • show - show - show

  • Föga förvånande håller jag med Vindrag.

  • Karin Dreijer and her brother are both genuis. I'm proud over Fever Ray - and this song is amazing in every way.

If I Had A Heart and other tracks from the album are also on the same level.

And her voice in this specific song is beautiful!

    5/5

  • ALTERNATIVE TRIPPY HYPNOTIC

  • hey girl gimme my knife back! =P ...just kidding : no bad.

  • I love Fever Ray... :X

  • ooooooo it's a very nuts song but i love it love ............

  • this song is pure dreaming

  • Magnifique!!!

  • i first heard this song on fashion tv and since then i can't stop hearing it

  • Really like the CD and this song is great.

I wish they would have booked more dates for North America, it would have been nice to see. Probably the only opportunity to see this material performed, since I guess the Knife will reform for 2010.

  • i'm speechless..brilliant work

  • her solo stuff is alright, but it has nowhere near the dynamism and energy of the Knife stuff.

(Of course, Karin Dreijer's alright is miles better than most other people's!)

  • what genre is this?
