  • "Pompous oaf" haha - I'd rather listen to Beck-Ola than watch summut like that anyway

  • groovy clip. I LOVE Jimmy Page ;D <3

  • Great video. But it's a bit hard to hear Jeff say those things about Antonioni (rip) who directed so many masterpieces, Red Desert is one of my fave films. Jeff's a brilliant musician though--

  • Blow Up was a pretty bad one however.

  • No, its a MASTERPIECE by a genius of filmmaking who reinvented the syntax, cadence and vocabulary of cinema, the first director to film moments of life "between" those overt, unrealistic, melodramatic events that compel most movie narratives. His silences and scrutiny and his astonishing observations of events are fraught with mystery. The murder in the park is filmed as an ambiguous, baffling, eerie, realistic happening, all scored by gushing sounds of wind through leaves..

  • If by that you mean 'freaked out LSD driven wierd shit, then yes ,I agree.

  • Well, I would guess Forrest Gump must be in your top ten. HAND :)

  • Well., you would be correct in that assumption,my man. No shame in that.

  • Called Keith and drunk? never!

  • One of the best

  • One of the Greatest Brit Bands of all time.

It is so sad that Keith Died and L.A. Radio Doesn't play the Yarbirds that much. KLOS Does Thank you The CBS Stations Now Play too Much 70's Rotten Disco Music.

  • the yardbirds could have been the band ofall time but it never worked fo them clapton wasnt satisfied with jeff becks style or his own at that time i believe jimmypage never really had a problem with the music he made thats what makes him great at what he does

  • If you notice, the Yardbirds were the birth of Hard Rock, while the Rolling Stones were playing Rock & Roll at the time, The Who was playing Rock, and the Beatles were more like high-end Bubble-Gum. Aerosmith continues to herald The Yardbirds as their greatest mentors, covering their songs and borrowing their lyrics.

  • ... jeff was really burnt by the whole blow up thing but ... it all started here ... jeff & jimmy brought the yb's to the dawn of lz ... it was the birthing ground of the hard rock sound that lz made and no one has yet sufficiently re-created...

  • awesome vid!!! thx 4 posting!!!

  • The cameramen/producer of the show where they played "Happenings" should be shot for missing the most interesting parts of the song.
