I heard Russell plays the blues in a duo with Romero Lubambo live at the Jazz Standard (Esperanza Spaulding was with them) and they killed it. Remarkably Romero -- who is known for his brazilian brilliance -- smoked the place!!!!! They tore it up, and it was running down both their legs.
