  • I didn't think you were allowed to carry handguns in the bush as they are restricted weapons.

  • I'm scared....

  • I would have shot that bear right in his nose.

  • @lysyrg25 That Bear would have ripped your face off before you could get a shot off!!! At least that's what i hope would happen!!! ASSHOLE!!!

  • @lysyrg25 would do the same to you

  • Great video - I'd never have expected it to weave while charging. Moving to bear country soon and this has been very helpful.

  • 9/10 charges are bluff charges.

Her eyesight is so poor, I doubt she saw him.

Mother grizzlies, when afraid, charge forward, they don't run.

Therefore, don't read too much into the theory that fear of the gun saved anybody's life.

  • @spelunkerd

What are you kidding? Grizzlies can see as well as humans.

  • Thanks for sharing. As close encounter as it can get with out blood.

  • @ Chesterbloom

There is no way he would put this video out if he was going to get himself in trouble for carrying a pistol in the woods. I carry a non-restricted assault rifle, little bit more stopping power (:

  • I like how he thanks God that he is still here when the only reason he is still here is because of the decisions HE made

  • Bear comes....

    *shoot*

    Bears gone away..

"DAMIT! no more Bears to film" =(

  • Oh god I would have shit myself at the spot friggin scary...

  • holy shit those bastards hug the trees while charging

  • @whizzm So heavy breathing gets you excited?

  • Sneaking behind a bear upwind: what a genius wildlife cinematographer! The dumass imbecile filming startled the creature. If he/she does not get a brain soon then there will be very little left for the family to bury.

  • they were just playing...?

  • It was, no doubt, surprised that its snack could shoot back. The mountains are the wildlife's smorg. So is the sea. You couldn't drag me into a fucking ocean.

  • the way the mom was weaving in and out was the shit each time she popped out she was like 20 ft closer atleast

  • one word...AWESOME

  • That was AWESOME Hahaha

  • just goes to show how dangerous brownies are. you don't have to be a hunter you could just be filming nature, fishing, hiking. if It catches wind of you and it feels like charging or just hungry it's gonna charge. this bear has had run ins with people with guns and wants to make sure. it's not taking any chances thats why it goes into cover. if he's a hiker then easy meal. It's seen what a gun can do so it sees anything that looks or sounds like a gun then it'll back off. .

  • Does anyone see what I see??

Do you guys realize that this bear took a hard right turn while charging so it could attack coming through the tree....rather than exposing itself if it stayed on its original route. Just goes to show you that these are apex predators.

I think Mr. Camera man had quite the surprise coming through that tree if he didn't fire a round when he did.......stay safe out there

  • @CT23Contender It might have been just a bluff charge, anyway good decision to fire his gun. Usually bears run in circles when bluffing, almos like that, check out the berries picker video when he got chaged look here in 'lose call' by Digitalldj

  • That was unsettling, to say the least. Yeesh.

Hmm, I'll briefly stop framing the scene to ward off the charge of two grizzlies, then immediately resume filming.

Nerves of steel and two big brass ones...

  • lol nothing a gun cant fix

  • confirms the need to carry a firearm in the back or front country!

  • My heart is still beating fact after watching this. Wow, I would have died of fright. Probably would have run and definitely would have stopped filming because I wouldn't have wanted to film my own death.

  • aside from being lucky that you escaped with your life, you are also lucky you escaped with your gun as it is illegal to carry a handgun anywhere outside of the range in Canada aside from the drive to and from . But what do I know, maybe your a cop with a carry permit.

  • wow... this has got to be the most chilling grizzly bear footage that I have ever seen. My hat is off to Leon, everybody that spends time in the outdoors in grizzly country wonders what they would do in such a situation. Definetely no victims here. Thanks for this great footage dyikini.

  • ...yeah.....I can't even begin to believe that the person who was charged and took the video,.....stayed focused enough to fire...that happened so fast! Talk about multi-tasking....Wow! Rarely get such a glimpse with such a good outcome. Thank you.

  • @kai1111 he had the camera on a tripod

  • It would be difficult to exercise self control, with that rough of a charge
