I pull most of my morals from the Quran and I am very very grateful for that. I have read the Quran several times. (I am always honest, love my family, don't drink, always self-reflect, etc.)

There are just some basic things that I have trouble believing, like the suffering of people in this world. I am not attacking muslims or Islam in any way. I am just saying that I don't literally believe in a god. He should do something about the suffering.

@abiriax I hope so as well. I would feel nothing but relief to know that there is a god out there. However, I have trouble believing that out of a universe that stretches to infinity, we, who are nothing more than an infinitesimal nothing, have any sort of significance. I also have trouble believing that as we speak, there are countless children starving and people being murdered. Why me? What did I do to deserve the amenities that have been "bestowed upon" me?

@Greenwithevil the first thing u need to comprehend is that this world is not our home in islam we believe that this world is only a test an allah test the people differently some people he test with poverty and some with wealth, now the people with wealth their test is to see if they are greedy and to see if they are willing to spend money on the poor, now for the starving people its a test for them to see if they are patient and when they die they will go to paradise by the grace of allah

Why them? What did they do to deserve the hell "cast upon" them? To me, this god (if there is one) is nothing more than a bully. Omnipotent? Oh god, make the suffering in this world end. Have us learn the lessons you've needed us to learn without the suffering.

So you're saying the that all-powerful, all-knowing can't make it so that we gain the experience and lessons learned from the hardships on earth without actually being on earth and have us reach paradise? Then your god has limitations and is not omnipotent.
