this video just makes me more fired up for the upcoming ashes.. we were robbed! that match was clearly ours and another 10 minutes it would have been over most likely. Cricket is so cruel sometimes.
A double thank you for posting this - living in Germany I rely on you guys to keep me up with the Ashes. If it's not free-to-air in UK what chance do I have? :0(
But the bonus is One day like this - Elbow. i heard at Xmas in the BBC programme about Glastonbury and have been trying to idnetify it ever since.
So good on yer, mate!
And sorry about the physios and ground hugging catches - and Freddy's brilliance. But it all balances out in the end, don't yer think? ;0).
BTW: I'm also a life long Liverpool fan - fell in love with Roger Hunt in the 66 World Cup and never looked back. Then Ray Clemence and Kevin Keegan played for my local club Scunthorpe United before going to Anfield.
Now, living where I do, I'm always giving Bayern Munich fans stick about the Pule's great record against them.
Something to remember about the Freddy no-ball; the crease belongs to the fielding team and from the poor quality still i have it appears that at the point of release freddies heel is just touching, it's a hard call but this series has had piss poor umpring (so have the last 2 aswell)
this series most of the bad calls have gone Englands way but not all of them (Clarke was out at Edgbaston caught off glove but not given, Bell and Strauss to no balls 1st Innings at the oval ETC.)
Why is it that the entire world seems to want the English to lose? Even the Scots never give us any support. Odd thing is, whenever England are out of the World Cup qualifiers (for example) and Scotaland, Ireland or Wales are still in, I always give them my backing. Home nation after all - lets stick together.
england are the only uk test team so in the tests england represents the hole uk u can be from enypart of the uk and play in the england test team only in one day cricket do scotland have a team and wales is represented by england in the one daysers aswell
yeah same here me and my family all support the home nations in sport! and most people i know , i feel its down to thier inferiority complexes! they still have not got over the past.
I am not one of those people who always want England to lose. I just support good cricket.
But if you want a serious answer to that question (and an honest one), I think it lies in your colonial past. Most imperial countries (like France, Spain etc.) have the same problem -- nobody outside of home supports them!
Within you 4 -- Scots, Irish, Welsh and English -- I agree there should be more backing!
In 1986 Diego Maradona knocked the ball into the goal with his hand to knock the England football team out of the world cup. He said later that the fact that he did it by cheating made even sweeter because it meant that it hurt the English more.
Aöways amazes me that thesy feel so strongly about the Falklands. After all we rid them of a prancing ponce of a Dictator who had "disappeared" thousands of Mother's sons and that led to democarcy taking root again.

Was going to correct "hole" to "whole" but "the hole UK" is right these days and it's New Labour that has dug it for us .

Yep. Plus Diego Maradona is a wanker. But the good side is that England beat him in the 1966 1/4 finals.

It's a good video but you really should have left out the music track during the highlight sequences.
