I think Miss Jones modestly fails to add good singing for one of the reasons for the success of the old musicals. Not everyone nowadays can sing the older songs well, and when that happens, Wow!.
And based on this clip, as of a couple of years ago she could still sing beautifully. I hope she sings where I can go hear her.
