  • the background music @ 3:00 sounds like something from Final Fantasy.

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE THIS SHOW

  • is it just me or the hair of kaga and the iron chefs always seem 2 get longer w/ every season. esp. kaga, sakai, and chen. i miss the way kaga summons the iron chef in the l8er seasons but his allez cuisine sounds better in l8er seasons

  • 1:46 to skip ahead

  • Sorry to ask you this question archo89 but, I had thought that Kaga had said "sweetie" in Japanese during the translation @ 7:14? I could be wrong by the wrong.

  • where do you get all these videos?

  • trentes=twa ???

  • @kiminokami Trois

  • 5:53 Epic Chomp!

  • Sakai is great, but Kenichi is the people's champ.

  • the way they pronounce french is hilarious

  • Gotta love Sakai. :D

  • Sakai is the man!

  • Each Iron Chef has their own faction or group they fight. Ishinabe/Sakai have Club Mistral, Morimoto/Michibia/Nakamura have Kandagawa/Ohta Faction and Chen has Hei Chin Rou. I love it!

  • And you can't forget Kobe vs. the Big Leagers, either.

  • Actually I did, so you CAN, good sir. :-P

  • @anadryantontine also Chen vs. women haha

  • Not exactly my favorite battle. I'm not really into those "luxury" food items. There is nothing that can replace experience and Iron Chef Sakai has much more of that than these young challengers.

  • i love it when the presenter chomps on the bell pepper, made me laugh everytime

  • Don't forget the accompanying "crunch!" sound effect. XD

I actually missed it when they removed it from the intro of the second season.

  • It is my personal opinion that Hiroyuki Sakai was the best Iron Chef. Or, at the very least, he was my favorite; in terms of skill, experience, and pure artistic creativity, Michiba was the best. But after he left, Sakai took that title and remained 'the best' (as evidenced by his winning the title of "Best Iron Chef" in that one battle) until the Series' end. Delacroix of French Cuisine he was, and his artistic approach to cooking is extremely inspiring.

    In short, Sakai is awesome.

  • I can only say I went to Morimoto's opening in Philly and.....wow......, I just can't imagine anything better....wasabi sherbet works!

  • no no, not poo, egg, egg!

  • who said it was fish poo?

  • Michiba was the original Iron Chef Japanese. Was regarded as the best of the three iron chefs when he was competing alongside Sakai and Kenichi.

  • oh ok, so Morimoto replaced him.......

  • yes... Michiba retired

  • Michiba was hailed as the best chef in the world when he won in the Iron Chef World Cup 95

  • in Japan you mean

  • There was another chef between Michiba and Morimoto, but I don't think he was around very long.

  • Yes, the IC Japan after Michiba & Morimoto is Komei Nakamura... Rather weak compared to the other 2 in my opinion...

  • Yeah Nakamura kept losing his battles, and at one point said if he lost the next one he would retire. And he lost.

  • thank you archo! Again and again!

  • Marry me Archo...well, at least keep posting Iron Chef's, you're the man!!

  • Can anyone tell or translate the lyrics to the Iron Chef(s) theme song?

  • What? There are no lyrics to the main theme. Do you mean when the ICs are summoned? Who knows.

  • It's basically like laaaaaaa la, la laaaaaa la. laaaaaa la! Hope this helps!

  • thanks again, archo!

  • First to comment! Thanks for this awesome episode. Go Sakai!
