  • I really sympathise with Boris here, because he clearly isn't getting his point across.

He objects to the state telling schools what to teach, in the sense that the political agenda of the state shouldn't affect the education a child receives.

Therefore, he objects to section 28 (banning the promotion of homosexuality), but he also objects to the state specifically telling schools to "promote" homosexuality.

Am I the only one who understood him?

  • gays and lesbians being agressive against someone who doesnt agree with them....well i never......

  • Every laughs at Boris it is great! Tosser!

  • No pal...just stumbled across your lot kissing and having sex in TV drama over the years...and trust me,us straight geezers that sleep with women don't wish to watch 2 fella's getting that close/intimate and doing things that a woman and a man should do.

  • "Our relationships"....good god, gays think they are on another planet don't they of exclusive rights...?

These fools have taken away working class people's rights.

  • fuck you wufters, you people make me sick : /

  • boris johnson is only slightly behind cameron in the biggest tosser in westminster

  • Section 28 was a pointless law. No-one was ever prosecuted over it. Why bother having pointless laws on the statute book? It was the Tories who brought it in 1988, I thought they didn't believe in red tape, bureaucracy and pointless laws.

  • @PeteGeeza86 How do you know this for sure? Do you do it yourself? You seem to be such an expert on it.

  • Despite him being a complete twat, I dont think even Boris would be happy at stirring up so much homophobia.

  • You are so funny.

Im not laughing with you Im laughing at you.

  • your post sounds remarkably homoerotic for such a vehemently homophobic "Geeza"

  • "Not eveyone wants to see 2 gay men fucking and rimming away in their limp style, sweat pouring and poofy, gay lingo being spoken... "

You do not have to... unless you either actively seek participation in Gay Sex or search for it on the internet...

It seems to me that you seem to have a hang up about it...

Suffering from Internalised Homophobia are we...??

    I truly pity you...

  • 2nd'd

  • I hate Boris Johnson he is a complete upper class twat! He is a moron and out of touch with ordinary folk the ordinary man on the street he wouldn't understand poor families living from pay cheque to pay cheque he couldn't identify with them I hate Boris you upper class twat!

  • Boris is brilliant

Why does it if he comes from a upper class background, because despite going to private school and despite what you think he understands "ordinary folk" more than most people

  • Leave Boris alone, stop interpreting things in an alien way to the way in which he means them! And that guy at end of clip can just sod off cuz Boris clearly does know what's he's talking about. Everyone seems to gang up on him in this clip!!! we shud hv a 'Hug a Boris' day ....

  • perhaps he's a very intelligent guy, but absolutely not a smooth talker.

  • Come see the dark heart of the tory party

  • Oh boris, I just want to hug you!

  • Bunch of left wing rent a mobs- Paddick should get off his high horse and stop playing up to a home crowd.

Portillo should have been on the stage to make it slightly less bias debate. Fair play to Boris for showing up.

  • i never new much about this but i dont see why homosexuality should be caught in schools...if your gay you'll know about it, i mean thats all adult stuff you learn outside school anyway.

if should definately if mentioned or brought up thats its perefctly fine and normal but other than that its a bit like femminist alaways bangin on about what should be taught...just all seems a bit unessary

  • Well you make it sound as if realising you're gay's always easy and never an issue. The number of people I know who found it traumatic can't be counted with fingers, and Section 28 meant that if you needed somebody to talk to in school for a bit of moral or emotional support, it was illegal for your teacher to tell you being gay was alright, that being with someone of your own gender was 'a pretend family relationship'.

Far more important though is straight people's education on homosexuality.

  • What makes me feel uncomfortable about this is not so much Boris' confused argument and his failure to admit that his comments were at best insensitive. It's the the panel, the questioner and the audience here deliberately goading the soon-to-be-elected Mayor. I cannot agree with much of what Boris stands for, but nor can I accept a crowd sniggering at his private life, interrupting his answers, questioning his voting record without any evident knowledge and "ooooo"-ing when they irk him.

  • He himself brought up his private life here, making a self-depricating remark. They were only responding to that. And he was being melodramatic by banging his fist on the table. of course they were going to "ooo" that.

  • boris is bad at arguing, poor chap. but he has a good heart

  • If by "Good heart", you mean he's racist (allowing "Blacks have low IQs" articles in the Spectator and saying they have watermelon smiles), and offending whole cities in the UK (Portsmouth/Liverpool) and even countries (Papau New Guinea). Yeah, real nice chap.

  • he is not racist, he just say some stupid things sometimes. look at what he is doing for london, not listen some media comments and stop being a sad n sarcastic

  • That's just a stupid thing to say. I'm not racist, so I've never said black people have "watermelon smiles" and would never let an article be printed saying they have lower IQ's. Even if I agreed with it, for christ's sake - you just don't print that. And what IS he doing for London? He's managed to lose 3 key members of his team so far, and his plans have financial holes in them and it will take until 2015 to get rid of bendy busses. Great work there.

  • @DaveWatts1337 But black people DO have lower IQ's.

    Why cant it be printed?

  • i object to hollyoaks its proper gay !

  • Never has such a manifestly incompetent f*ckwit been elected to high office in Britain. Shame on you fools who voted for him.

  • How can people ignore the things he clearly says and support him for clearly skirting questions. 3 men and a dog - it's pretty clear what he thinks

  • And this ignorant, stupid, hypocritical guy- Boris, i mean- being myor of our capital city? oh dear.

  • He voted in accordance of his constituents, and did his job, it is not his job to vote as he sees fit, it is his job to represent.

    These people are morons.

  • I myself seriously doubt what he wrote are his real views, as Boris has said silly things like this before, many times.

  • DITTO

  • Boris writes most of what he writes for comedy value, he's an apologiser because he gets it wrong on occasion, because he doesn't really do "boundaries."

His vote is what counts, not what he writes, his vote should be representative of his constituents, and it was.

The is no discrepancy, he did his job, by voting the way he did, and in his private life he either wrote what he did for comedy value, as he does, or made his own views clear.

  • Ken is dead long live KING BORIS!!! FUCK KEN!!

  • This is f*cking brilliant! How many times did he repeat the phrase "I am in favour of liberty..."? Got to love Brian Paddick, "You haven't got a bloody clue what you're on about!" Christ... how did Biggot-Boris become mayor???

  • He had to repeat the line because he kept being asked the same question. Sheez.

  • Yeah, he was asked the same question repeatedly because he refused to answer it.

  • m8 - he answered it. repeatedly. but the fools on the panel (and yourself) refuse to listen.

  • Ok, a) "m8" is spelt m-a-t-e. b) Tony Grew asked him about the appalling comments he made in his disgusting article, and he AGAIN referred to being "in favour of liberty". Well, that attitude wasn't demonstrated by his comments about gay marriage being on a par with bestiality. If he was truely "in favour of liberty" he wouldn't make ignorant, bigoted comments like that.

  • kk m8. have it ur way. u've clearly learnt nothing from teh election. xd

  • Oh dear, i think London is totally fucked now that Boris has won

  • actually I don't think London is fucked at all now that Boris has won. I think that Boris is a good candidate that will ultimately improve London and make it a much better place... I do however feel that London's gay community is screwed.

  • Just listen to this bumbling idiot. laughed at by the audience and derided by the panel I almost feel sorry for Boris....

  • Pink News had a story on it's website about the treatment of a Gay Arab Tory Councillor at Hammersmith and Fulham by his own party!

See "Hammersmith Council Cuts no, no no mix" on you tube for a bit about it. I am not gay but I hear that the BNP have recommended the Tories as second choice. If this is true, this should be enough NOT to vote Tory?

  • Absolutely.

  • we must not allow this moron to be mayor
