NFS Shift is backing to it's roots. do you you remember the real original concept of Need For Speed? back to 1994 was a game intended for simulation and was only street legal racing. It's from NFS III Hot Persuit when the game did change to a more, as you said: "bring back street racing". So i understand your disapointment but i really like Shift, but a city like Most Wanted was really cool, maybe in a future will be a city with a circuits :P

Modern Warfare 2 trailer has alot of clips that are only like 3 seconds long, but that doesnt mean they they are hiding bad parts. you hear nobody complaining about it. they are not going to show a full 3min race for a commercial. So think before you judge. Never before i have seen someone that could judge a whole intire game by watching a 60 second video.

I don't know if shift is going to be better. Sure graphics have improved but really? Would you rather play a game where you could drive zondas (that you customised) on the streets or driving a zonda on a plain track. I am not saying this game is going to be bad, it does look really good.. but i just don't think its better :)

Although the gameplay was the best in MW (my opinion), I do like the extra's prostreet brought in, like the renewed tuning mode (body, stickers and of course the 101 options on how to get your car going the way you like it). But agreed, NFS should stick with it's successes, like MW and U2, and leave the realism to Gran Turismo.

I personally care for the reality in driving; the overall force, engine modofications, parts installations and so on. But I disagree with track race idea. I think Pro Street is a painful lesson for EA to avoid creating such gameplay (judging from negative feedback, you know).

Hot pursuit came out in 2010. Then in March 2011, Shift 2 came out. So it doesn't really make that much of a difference if they make sim racers, which are good in my opinion. Because, if there is a street racing title under development, it will be a different developer.

The Underground2 offers the scenes and feelings of what called 'underground'. Races in colorful night time with affordable cars (in real life) like old Civic Coupe, Toyota Corolla, early 350Z and more ordinary car, unlike exotics like LP640, Zonda, Carrera GT, etc. The underground offers sth 'raw'.
I like Lambos and Porsches in Most Wanted, Carbon, Undercover. They're technically cool, but Underground2 is a different taste.
Need For Speed makes some of the most entertaining and interesting trailers i think. Any ways, i agree with 0614erik...they've always made good street racing games....what i would like to see is them mix the two...not like shitty pro street...but make a simulator...only on the streets...no mor hairpins at 150kmh...actually having to worry about crashing...and wen u do crash...having to pay realistic prices for the repairs...making the upgrades mor realistic..agree? or am i just a simulator fiend

you know ive excepted the fact they started makin track racing and stoped the street racing which is kinda lame but whatever... make it real let us do real motor swaps etc everything real tunning i hate just clicking shit like ok ive tuned my engine based on a brand that doesnt make motors meaning ive only bolted shit on to my stock motor.....its garbage and none ofit is ever real engineswap wise plus theres always to many glitch tunning going on in NFS fuckin get real.

I'm not sure you and I share the same reason about NFSU2 preference.
The Underground2 offers the scenes and feelings of what called 'underground'. Races in colorful night time with affordable cars (in real life) like old Civic Coupe, Toyota Corolla, early 350Z and more ordinary car, unlike exotics like LP640, Zonda, Carrera GT, etc. The underground offers sth 'raw'.
I like Lambos and Porsches in Most Wanted, Carbon, Undercover. They're technically cool, but Underground2 is a different taste.

Need For Speed makes some of the most entertaining and interesting trailers i think. Any ways, i agree with 0614erik...they've always made good street racing games....what i would like to see is them mix the two...not like shitty pro street...but make a simulator...only on the streets...no mor hairpins at 150kmh...actually having to worry about crashing...and wen u do crash...having to pay realistic prices for the repairs...making the upgrades mor realistic..agree? or am i just a simulator fiend
