By jet blades do you mean you are using tip jets. Or are you referring to the turbine blase its self as a jet blade?

The hollow JET blade advanced design (VAWT and HAWT) includes blade side air inlet apertures and much smaller blade edge nozzle air outlets. The outlet air is reducing blade trailing edge inductive losses. Thanks to the radical new design the power output is increased by factor 2 at low and moderate winds. The turbine self start ability is enhanced, as well.

I agree Thunderhook715. Unfortunately, personal wind power doesn't work well inside communities due to proximity. My town (a very small town at that) banned windmills of any size within municipal limits. They apparently bother some of the neighbors. I have wanted a small turbine for a while and I bet I could sneak this past them. I'll tell them it's "kinetic sculpture", not a turbine. "You won't tear down my art, will you?" ;)

@H2Oit Electricity generation has little to do with oil. We get most of our electricity from coal, natural gas, nuclear, and hydro. Any alternative renewable energy is a good idea though. So go for it.

it is probably not very much but if everyone had some sort of supplemental energy source we could save 20% or more world wide on energy usage. saving resources and money.

datzfast- You're right about that. With efficient cars and then decreased driving due to the high gas prices, they lost income from gas taxes. Then there was alot of talk about GPS units in cars to track and tax you by mileage driven. There's no 'free' living, they'll get their pound of flesh one way or another!

This appears very unsteady. Won't this eventually lead to a shake that will tear up the entire machine? The wing design looks nice, but I tink the whole thing needs to be stabilized.
