Don Williams has the smoothest, most soothing voice of anyone I have ever heard. I just had a miscarriage on Sunday and I can't get enough of his voice. It is so soothing it helps me sleep but when I am awake it makes me feel like everything will be ok. It's almost like he is whispering into the mic. So awesome and so appreciated!

Saw him in concer just last month and he sounds the same live as the recordings from the 70"s and 80's. One of the best concerts I've ever attended. He was so humble and appreciative of the audience. Twice he stopped singing so all you head was the audience sing the songs - very touching for him as he got choked up once. One of the greatest!

I dont know anything about him personally but through his music I like him and all that he stood for. Men like this with his talent dont come around but once in a lifetime maybe. I know what you mean. NOTHING can beat the sound of the steel guitar and fiddle in a beautiful old country song. I don't even know that last time I heard a steel guitar. There are some good songs now, but they really aren't "country". I miss it.

I am so sick of this scotch irish BS from southerners. Look I have a Phd in American History and you know what? Those same ignorant Scotch that sold out there own countrymen to the English were shipped to Ireland to do English dirty work then ended up as crackers in the American south and did the dirty work for Anglo-american planters and died by the thousands on Civil War battlefields. I've always loved Don from bushes of Kenya. By the way Don is more popular in Kenya than in US. Sadly he never knew that and now he is retired.
