I got it as a gift back in September 2003, and surely was blessed. @Esteelauders - Thank you! I actually saw Bob Larson in person near Dallas back around 2000 or so. It was something to watch all that. That was my first time watching deliverance being done and before I had begun doing any deliverance ministry!

i think i have a demon or several but i don't know what ones are all there i do know there a depression one and a homo/lust one and sometimes i del really sad and lazy and don't feel like doing much. i think these things want me to give up and quit school or they don't want me to pass my classes this semester i don't know who to talk to or go to for help besides Jesus but i mean i don't know what to read in the bible

@Randy08ray - Randy, if you go to Blog Talk Radio dot com, there is a show on there called OmegaMan Radio. They do live deliverance on their shows and they have some really good deliverance. You can describe what the symptoms are and they will take it from there. Lots of people don't know what to read in the Bible, but you can learn alot listening to teachings by others in the meantime, that's what I did. You can also find others to talk to at Wings of Prophecy dot com in the chat rm

It's been like this for all the days of my life. Was in a huge battle with horrible suicidal thoughts last April, but that has gone away over the months thank God! But the fear and depression has been a never ending battle and I know it's the enemy! Really how can you defeat this? Any advice? Thanks :)

@Jesusalwayzwins - From what you're describing I would say you need to start by binding up the strongman of Fear - he's the leader of the group tormenting you, and cast him out of there and then go after the others. You might try calling in to OmegaMan radio on blog talk radio, they do deliverance live on their shows.

I just dont know how to really be delivered from this and overcome this fear of people. I mean, we're supposed to fear God, and not be people pleasers. And it's a vicious cycle. After the extreme social anxiety attacks settle down after I am out of the spotlight and not around people, depression begins to set in heavier and heavier. The negative discouraging thoughts seem very heavy that if I try to think positive, it's like something straight up eats up the positive faithful thoughts. (contd..)

I've struggled with Social Anxiety disorder, depression, and other things as well my whole life! I'll tell you what, the fear I get when I am in social situations and talk to people. The fear gets sooooooo strong that my mind starts racing, I get self condemning racing thoughts and paranoid thoughts of what people think of me the stronghold is so strong that it is like my mind is paralyzed that it is extremely hard to think positive and have confidence to keep on a conversation. Word of caution to all. Be VERY slow to mention this to church friends , even family.

Most may listen intently ,then think you are crazy , or mostly turn around a go back to TV.

Be ready for ridicule and rejection. What would you expect. They are full of demons.!!

agree, "Pigs in the Parlor" was pretty good. Also, "When pigs move in" I found very informative. People would be surprised at what makes demons come into their lives. I compare demons to insects - if you have food and water out, you'll get them into your house.

Is seeing demons the only way that you know that you have discernment? I had a dream not too long ago that I very easily cast a demon out of my 9 year old and several people I didn't know. I had not watched or read anything about this topic that might be a reason for my having this dream.

@SciFImoma - No, seeing demons is not the only way. Discernment is being able to distinguish good from evil in spiritual things. Years ago, long before I could see them, I could sense if a person was evil, without knowing that person. At the time I was unsaved, and did not know this was a gift.

i would sometimes see dark shadows moving fast around the house but most of the time i see demons is when im sleep and im fighting in my sleep speaking the word of God against them. once power came from my right hand against them in the name of Jesus and i had no idea what was going on and that i could even do that and the next day God told me he's teaching my arm to war and the enemy knows that arm. God is awesome! he teaches us how to fight

I have heard of a Samson anointing, which is the anointing to break strong bondages or addictions off person by laying hands on them and praying a single prayer - it's a pretty rare anointing, and much needed - this may be what you have! If it is, it is POWERFUL !!! It will break even the worst strongholds, like off someone who has been addicted to crack for 10 years, you would pray for them once and they would be set free!!

@missplacemat - Yes, that is exactly how that spirit acts! Doctors often think the person is just a hypochondriac, but the symptoms they are having are real, the spirit is just moving around.

I can usually sense demons, even possessed individuals.. Like once I was in a church and someone was walking behind me and I could sense they were possessed when he was infront of me I started to notice the boy was flinching and dodging invisible things... Other times I can sense them in an area, or even as I pray for certain things I can sense them getting angry and even where in the room they are. My question is, do all people with discernment eventually be able to see them?

@FallenIntoHisGrace - I don't know if all people who have the gift end up seeing them. Sometimes all you see is a mist or something that symbolizes them. A year or so ago I visited a church and I saw a man go up front for prayer. In the spirit realm I saw a cloud of black smoke around his chest. I sensed lung cancer, and the man confirmed he had it. I sense more of them than I see when doing deliverance.

I had a vision last week of spiritual attacks in the skies. The strange thing was that the characters were in the form of cartoons-the whole vision was in an illustrated visual art form. @StefanialovesJesus - Stefania, I am not sure, because I am not sure I have been myself, and I plan to get baptized just in case. My brother says I was baptized as a small child but I don't remember it and that has always bothered me. You can have someone baptize you - it does not have to be in a church. Here in Texas, it is not unusual to baptize people in horse troughs, and I have heard of swimming pools as well.

I believe we would still have sin without demons, because we are born with it. Just like in the book of Rev, satan is locked away for a 1000 years, and ppl have a fresh start free of him, but eventually, because the heart of man is wicked and sinful, ppl will still turn away from Jesus, even though He will be there ruling over them physically.

I had the gift of discernment, seeing things in the spiritual realm others cannot see. I only had the gift for 1 year, i saw Angels and i saw demons. also was taken to heaven where i saw jesus siting on his throne, i looked as far as i could see up and all i saw was up to his knees, Jesus is a very very big God! Don't no why i only had the gift for 1 year? Jesus did speak to me, he told me of my gift.
