Europe is becoming such a police-state, too, e.g. there are regulations that restrict the flow of money and the argument is always the same: It's to stop the criminals. No one understands that such regulations are against the PEOPLE and lead into a dictatorship. There are secret lists here, too. If you're on such a list, you can't transfer money any more. You are as good as dead.

Who's to say the modern day neo-con is not a 'left-winger'. It was Nixon who established the graduated income tax system for example. His "New Federalism" program started the trend of federal funding of state programs, which of course has resulted in federal control over state programs. He also revolutionized "debt spending". Reagan implemented mass market controls in the form of subsidies and doubled the size of the federal government, etc. Then you have the Bushes

Wait, did he just defend that Tea Party club? And he considers socialism in its entirety to be the wrong way off governing?

I wonder if these impressions are skewed since he seems pretty informed and involved and must know that most developed European countries are socialist to a degree. Social democracies, as it were.

In fact, the more socialist, the more evolved the society is - of which Denmark is an example, where there's relatively higher taxes but health care and such are already paid for.

Allow me a self-reply so I may conclude my comment that the logical factor at the end of it all is whether a culture is simply evolved enough or not to make any kind of government work efficiently. Corruption arises in lesser cultures where they can't make it work and then it won't much matter what kind it is, which is why these 2 can easily compare the USA to the USSR.

Political ideology doesn't matter half as much as the culture, pure and simply.

Denmark was an example, but so is Singapore.

As I listen to Gunter as how incrementally they were given more liberty until the end when the wall came down, I can't help but think of Norman Dodd and his remarks in the hidden agenda. I think it would nieve to believe that the THINK TANKS would implement a program here in the USA and not in the USSR, in order to blend the two cultures for the NWO? Where are the foundations today in Russia or Who are they? I always thought the wall coming down was more climatic, not incrementally.
