@Zkrudriverz there is a walk tool icon if you go to view and go to toolbars and press large toolbar, and you will find a footprint icon. Or, if you go to Camera then press walk, the footprint icon will show up.
Excellent add-on tool on the face of it. However, at $149 the price tag cannot be justified. Also, where's this v.1.7 Adam mentions below. It certainly not on his web site.
what is the lag like on Very Large Complex models... How many windows can you put into a model,,,, before it crashes??? I like what I see,, but I am limited in time, like most folks...
but, sketchup doesn't needs that now, what it needs its suport for curved lines and faces, to suport mor geometry smoother, and dont be so slow! Than it should worry about lights!
It looks like your solution "bakes" in the light sourcing into the face textures so you can have quickly rendered walkthroughs with light sourcing. Very good time solution for a perpetual problem. Now where to get?
Which sketchup version is this? Is that plugin included or you need to download? I use sketchup a lot and I´ve wished so many times for some lighting in my models. I also use Autocad 3D and Maya, but modeling in sketchup is so much faster, for quick reference and soon deadline presentations
You can export Stills, Movies and to Autodesk FBX files

do you need a decent vga to use this?

LightUp will drop back to a "simple mode" if your graphics card can't handle it. But basically, give the demo and try and see if it works for you.

Boo! LightUp rocks my socks off. I can actually model the inside of a room and it's not pitch black inside!

The faces are not exactly lighting the walls e floor. In fact, this plugin change the texture with a gradient of color simulating a real light.
But its great, anyway. :)
dimitreze 3 years ago
Err, no it doesn't. It traces light back to each source.
