I thought it was a love song. Now instead of sounding like he's longing for a girl (or a guy in his case) he sounds like he's depressed about life and can't bear the thought of there not being a supernatural all powerful being to give his life some meaning. It puts a totally different spin on it.

If you were really looking for the exact truth, then you would be unwilling to rule out things without proof. You can only prove false in science. So u should have legitimate proof that God isn't real and that he didn't create the Earth..SInce you are unable to provide proof then it appears that the option of GOD can't be ruled out
