Main character does that when she uses a boss's weapon (in this case, Freudia has white hair so the main character gets it when she uses the weapon) It's not permanent lol

If you're talking about other special attacks, you need to unlock them by beating stages. Then you just go into the weapon screen to switch to it. If you're talking about the magic circle, you hold onto the shoot button to charge it.

Lol I wasn't trying to rush it. I didn't fast forward all of the dialogue and how fast you beat the boss depends on what attacks she uses (random).
