Ah, angry atheists. It's always hilarious to read their nonsensical rantings and inane personal attacks against those they can't argue with. Keep at it, fellas. And God bless.
This guy is dumb christians dont believe the world is 12,000 yrs old we we believe jesus christ was born 20,000 yrs ago this guy just cant question one guy and assume were all the same and theirs different types of christianity ive seen alot of ppl who believe in the american jesus theirs some chirstian groups that believe different stuff and the bible never said their wasnt any dinasours in the world we dont deny their was we just question it like any normal person would
@chuyfromsalas Firstly its Fundamentalist Christians he's talking about - and read around, there are plenty of people who think the world is around 12,000 years old, many who say Jesus would be just over 2000 years old if he were alive today. He is also questionning those people who believe the world is only 12,000 years old, that if this were true, why isn't there any mention of a dinosaur in the bible - its not as if a dinosaur is inconspicuous enough to be missed and not written about.
@chuyfromsalas Firstly he is talking about Fundamentalist Christians - read around, there are actually people who believe the world was created 12,000 years ago, and also believe if Jesus was alive today he'd be just over 2,000 years old. Also, he is saying if they do believe that the world is 12,000 years old, where is the mention of dinosaurs in the bible - its not as if they are inconspicuous now are they? how could they be missed?
@chuyfromsalas one your the dumb ass most Christians believe jesus is 22011 years old hence why b.c means before christ and his is on about fundamentalist christians do actually believe that not every form of christianity. so before you go slated a great comedian get your facts about the religion you claim to follow right and listen to what he says not assume he is on about the whole bunch
Hey Bill hicks, dinosaurs ARE mentioned in the bible. You have to realize that the word dinosaur wasn't invented until 1842, before that, they were called dragons. Look in the book of Job, you will see a passage about behemoth, and it says his tail swung like a cedar tree and he eats grass like an ox. Not to mention there are thousands upon thousands of drawings of dinosaurs in every culture in the world. I'd like to see evidence they lived 70 millions years ago.
@micah1116 That's nice, unfortunately, behemoth is described as if it is unique AND the scale of reference suggests that it's about as large as the average mountain. Which is much larger than any dinosaur, big as they were. In verse 24 it makes reference to it having a ring through its nose (lol).
As for your quote:
" He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together."
That's a polite way of saying it's hung like king kong, when taken from the original hebrew. srs
Considering that all mural depictions show behemoth to be of about equivalent size to the frigging leviathan (Hint: also much larger than a dinosaur), it's rather silly to assume it's only a hundredth or so the size if it's considered a land based counterpart. It's described as a singular entity (ie unique), there aren't several behemoths, just the one. There's been more than one dinosaur.
"behemoth" is simply a mythical creature, a counterpart to the leviathan. Do you think that's real too?
@pamew Everything was bigger in the past, the fossils prove it, dinosaurs would be much bigger, I'm not sure where you get this size reference from though. He could easily be talking about a kind of animal and calling it behemoth, that's what they called them. Yes leviathan was real too, why would they put something fake in there? Don't you think someone would have asked why back then?
Oh for fucks sake, this is why I don't debate creationists.
We KNOW how fucking big dinosaurs were you asshat, and we KNOW they didn't live 4000 fucking years ago. Why am I even entertaining this horseshit? how old is the earth btw?
"Don't you think someone would have asked why back then?"
Yes, I'm sure they did, I'm sure the reply was "well, the book also tells us to kill people who question god, so, um, stand still so we can stone you to death plz"
PART 2) "Yes leviathan was real too, why would they put something fake in there?"
I'd suggest you sit down and actually read the bible. It claims bats are birds and that insects have four legs. These are two things WE KNOW NOT TO BE TRUE, they ARE falsehoods and they ARE in there. So your assumption the bible is 100% true is flawed at its premise.
@pamew I'm talking about bugs, and other mammals, and birds as well. I'm about to send you a link, there are thousands of examples of ancient depictions of dinosaurs such as drawings and sculptures, you would have to be a complete lunatic to say they didn't see dinosaurs frequently. I'll send you a PM with the link since we can't do it in the comments. It doesn't say to kill people who question God, your thinking about Islam.
@micah1116 LOL ORLY? well here's some examples of what to do to godless heathens:
EX 21:20-21 With the Lord's approval, a slave may be beaten to death with no punishment for the perpetrator as long as the slave doesn't die too quickly.
EX 17:13 With the Lord's approval, Joshua mows down Amalek and his people.
NU 15:32-36 A Sabbath breaker (who had gathered sticks for a fire) is stoned to death at the Lord's command.
@pamew Don't know where you got that verse, here's the real one:
And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished. 21Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
And your correct, in the old testament breaking God's commandments was a punishable act, that's what you don't like are his commandments, please tell me what's wrong with them?
@micah1116 "if he continue for a day or two". ie if he dies, but not instantly. This one isn't even open to interpretation. what I posted was a quick explanation of it.
"please tell me what's wrong with them?"
So in your opinion it's fine to kill anyone who works on a Sunday then? . And it's FINE to kill a city full of women and children because they don't want to convert to yahweh and be slave to a blood god? THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG.
@pamew It doesn't say that. What you don't seem to understand is, that when certain groups of people were killed, in many cases it was because they weren't even fully human, ever heard of the nephilim? That's why God chose Noah to build the arc, he was the only one left that didn't have genetic problems. I didn't say to kill anyone who works on sunday, trust me, they had no problem with not working a day.
@micah1116 Oh proof they lived million of years ago ? you rather plan your argument on a drawing, with no context, that you can interpret the way you want ??? i got a simple way of calculating the age of dinosaur bones found 199 millions years ago. With C14 when you calculate the half-live of C14, that start decaying after the death of a living organism, you can accurately tell (yet with a margin of error, what is 200 yrs of error on 100 millions years now) how much time between death and now
@BleakKareBaer maybe you should actually study radiometric dating before you make false claims. Carbon dating only goes back a maximum of 50,000 years and they don't date fossils with carbon dating. It's based on their position in the geologic column, which is based on dates they literally made up in the 1800's before we even had radiometric dating. Carbon dating has been shown to have huge errors and has many faulty assumptions.
@micah1116 i only name that one because it is well know, Pu-235 goes back 700 million years, the huge mistake you are talking about are 1-2 million year, bible does big mistake! The geologic column is used to make a scale between species or artifact one with another, the radiometric dating is by far the most precise way, far more precise than a stupid book written by people who thought the universe revolve around earth. I study anthropology i see that stuff everyday.
@BleakKareBaer again you need to do more research. For example Renium 187 has a half life of 4.6 billion years, except for the fact that in the laboratory it has been shown to have the half life of 33 years, that's a billion fold acceleration. They assume the decay rate is constant.
@micah1116 You are so retarded! Plutonium have millions of years of half-life, and it is more precise than anything we got so far! You are ridiculous, your research consist of google and wikipedia, i learn facts verified and always question and passe through a scientific process, that`s what i do real research in a departement, For the Re-187 they are manipulation that need to be done, just like plutonium doesn't have the same half-life in a reactor, so far all you say is sophism all the way
@micah1116 Im not a chemist nor a physicist, i use result from their work, i can tell you earth is way older than what the bible says, but by way older i mean like 4,2 billions years older than what the bible claim, it is probably not precisely perfect and in absolute number, and people like you juste like to be a smartass and point out it is not perfect WELL ITS WAY MORE PLAUSIBLE than a fucking supernatural being zapping life form on a planet you idiot. Its easier to try and discredit go ahead
@micah1116 tell us your super , full of proof and undenyable theory on the age of earth, the dinosaur, the Era of earth, the evolution of man, man being an animal etc..
@BleakKareBaer I'd like to propose something to you, how about you discuss/debate this with me in skype? My skype name is the same as my youtube name. I'd much rather discuss this in skype. If your comforatable talking to me and can act civilized, I'd be more than willing to discuss this with you. I'm on skype nearly everynight so just look me up. Hope to hear from you soon.
@DoctorSess the sum of the laws of nature is "god", after all they make life possible and define it. it is human stupidity and simplemindness that leads people to believe that there must be an almighty entity which is self aware and acting intentionally
the problem is taking the Bible literally. It is a book of many metaphors and stories that apply to human existence. The Bible has much wisdom. God is not the problem, humans trying to define God in human terms (i.e. "he" is a bearded man in the sky) is the problem. I believe in a Creator, i just dont presume to be wise enough to understand "him". Religion corrupts spirituality.
@handmiadenofgod so you think there might've been a murderous god who killed and ordered to kill millions? and that there was a world-wide flood where many thousands animals fit on a ship? and 8 (jewish)people survived and procreated without inbreeding?
see, you have to say that ALL of that could've been through if you're a real agnostic. after all the ONLY source of information about "god" is scripture, so you HAVE to go with EVERY bit of it. otherwise admit it's totally retarded, like comics
@DoctorSess But.. don`t you see the problem with what you just said ??? A man wrote the bible... so God don`t exist, it is easy enough ??? Man created god! In anthropology and psycology you can study the part of human were they need symbolism in there life, caveman (more primate then man) had the need to draw and represent themself, the god you call is one of these symbol, created by man, to cover a need. Of course once you know that god become rather unnecessary, i found that out when i was 7
It is really easy to solve. Start loving everyone. It is as simple as that. The only reason you have extremism, regardless of whether it is Islamic or Christian or Hindu or anything else is because people feel disenfranchised from acceptance. They are not accepted. Love, accept everyone and you will have no extremism. There is no room for extremism when everyone is appreciated, loved, and provided an opportunity, the same equal opportunity for love that everyone else is provided. -The Wonders
@1689Baptist if you say so... why do you trust the bible so much, do you ever wonder if it is inaccurate or if it has been tampered with by some manical king or warlord( blind faith seems kinda foolish, not trying to be rude)? I believe in the most logical thing, which is ignorance( i dont know what is true). I dont think human beings are on that level yet, we are still very immature beings with limited. Im also curious about "worship" and why it is necessary?
I hate getting into this discussion on Youtube, But I feel I must at least say something. Scientifically, creationism makes more sense than atheism. You're free to believe what you will, but I don't like jumping into anything without knowing If I'm right or wrong. Religion doesn't start wars, for the record. It's simply the chosen reason. If religion didn't exist, they'd find a different one to fight over. Anyway, now to the video. Bill hicks is ok, got nothing against him, just not my guy.
@Zakue How does creationism make ANY sense scientifically? You can't just throw in the word "scientifically" to try & make your point when there is absolutely no scientific evidence to back it up. Your claim is completely ridiculous. Also, the real debate is creationism vs. evolution. Evolution has been studied "scientifically" since the time of darwin, with hundreds of thousands of fossils to back it up. Creationism directly conflicts with the laws of the universe, & has no scientific backing
@Zakue Creationism cannot make sense scientifically because creationism does not involve any science. If you believe in he Bible, that means you believe in magic. If a bible reader believe in angels and the Devil and miracles, why don't they believe in pixies, unicorns, goblins, griffins, dragons, wizards, wood nymphs, mermaids and sea monsters? Really, even Alchemy makes more scientific sense than creationism. At least they attempted to involve some science in their brand of bullshit
Bill was before his time...waaay before his time. His mother and father must be so proud of their awesome son. Just read thru the comments. Bill Hicks has done more to open a dialog about spirituality and God than most...no strike that..ANY Preacher I know.
@TheWildAssCopyCat A large segment of the population in Africa (as part of their religious beliefs) believe that by having sex with a virgin, they can cure themselves of AIDS. There is no logic to that thinking, yet they believe it.
@TheWildAssCopyCat When it comes to religion, logic goes out the window. And your rationale is the same kind that kept (and still keeps some people) believing that the world is flat and the Holocaust didn't happen.
"Well, all these people believe it, it MUST have some logic."
No. Sometimes people just believe crazy shit. Especially when they've been brainwashed into it from youth.
The concept of religion as a whole cannot be assessed by logic. It is fundamentally arational. Certain specific religious beliefs (creationism, for example) can be considered irrational, as they run contrary to known fact, the the simple belief in a god cannot be dismissed through logic
@Imaginefree69 It's obvious that you don't understand what I said. I said CERTAIN RELIGIOUS BELIEFS ARE IRRATIONAL, because they conflict with known fact. But religion, as a whole, is fundamentally arational. A claim to the existence of an immaterial thing, unless it interacts with the physical world in ways contrary to known physical laws, IS arational
@Imaginefree69 And I LOVE when religion-bashers cite all the negatives of religion, yet act as if religion cannot have a positive effect on people. If you don't believe me, research Gandhi, Tolstoy, MLK jr., Mother Theresa, etcetc. Instead of blaming or praising a religion based upon the actions of its adherents, maybe we should assess a person's actions on their own merits
Gandhi: Published many racist papers attacking blacks and thought slavery when applied to blacks was positive rather than negative.
Mother Theresa: embezzled money on behalf of Hatain crime families and spent millions of dollars of AID MONEY on facilities for her nuns rather than any constructive charity.
MLK was a civil rights leader, not a religious leader, and Tolstoy was a writer, and whilst he was talented, he was also batshit crazy. He even went as far as to call Shakespeare talentless.
I asked some people on a christian chat room if God is against incest and they all say "yes". I then ask them who Cains wife was. They justified it by saying "incest was okay back then because they had no choice but its not okay now" haha.
"do you ever notice how people who believe in creationism look really unevolved" - thats the best joke of all time bar none. this man was a genuis RIP Bill
"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."
@godlikemonolith, not really. Good people do bad things when there are no rules and supervision in place. The amount of hating on You Tube is one example.
@HeatherOfOz I wouldn't believe everything you read...just saying. I believe from experience that this world has very few inherently good people and the rest of us poor slobs are all screwed up. We might be good right now under rules but were bad people who will resort to bad things without those rules in place...so you get partial credit. Just like the inherit good there are bad people who could care less about rules.
@arizonabay07 sorry I was on my way somewhere and didn't explain properly. I was waiting to see the doctor, just reading the really old magazines in the sock drawer and got reading about soldiers who behaved badly. They formerly had good reputations and it was suggested that their behaviour changed due to the lack of supervision and rules in their environment. I added the bit about You Tube as my own example ;) Pretty scary reading!
@Riana718 the RIP thing is only traditional; there is nothing left of Bill Hicks, no immortal soul, just atoms of calcium, carbon, etc... as for the bible quotes, please...I may know them better than you do. Does the bible mean anything to me? Not at all. And in case you're just trolling, consider your duty done.
Some people need to believe in God in order to have accountability. Some people need to believe in God to have a plan and morals and faith in the future & hope in love. I think the bravest choice is to not lean on God/ Jesus/ Jehovah/ Allah ect as being your own guide & STILL being a good person on the planet is harder. ALSO, think about fate/destiny VS free will... I love that debate!
People believe in religion or God because they lack faith in themselves. It's easier to believe that someone or something else dictates their lives rather than their own action or inactions.
Are you implying that a high proportion of atheists believe Obama to be some messianic figure? I'd like to see your stats. There is nothing inherent in atheism that leads people to be more predisposed to being caught up in cults of personality than theists. Christianity , on the other hand, is inherently a cult of personality. Its built into it. By doctrine and definition, you have to believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God to be a Christian. Catholics even take it even father with the pope
Allah is God. Just the way you say his name in Arabic, like how Jehovah and Yahwe(sp) are other translations. Only huge difference between Islam and Christianity from what I know is that they believe that no one can claim fault for ur sin, so the Jesus dying for us they dont believe.
I think it's just in human's nature to believe in something above them. I guess they think they'll feel alone if they don't. It spares them of a lot of unanswered questions by just saying "it's god's will, god wanted that". It's too hard to think for yourself.
If by belief in God, you mean fundamentalist Christianity, its because the Bible's a collection of ancient, mostly nameless, undated documents that contradict each other and reality. Its also a terrible standard of absolute morality. Yes, it says some common sense things, like, "Thou Shall not Steal" and "Thou Shall not kill", but it totally contradicts itself when it condones racially based, generational slavery(Leviticus 25:44-46) and the rape of Midianite children (Numbers 31:13-18).
@asononfire Because it doesn't make any kind of sens, because if you look at it, the way catholic religion work (im bashing christian could be other) You can easily tell that religion is only a tool to control the mass, and who are the mass ? People who don't think a lot. At the middle-age everybody believe in god, but they believed in witch and shapeshifter, in ghost, they believe in bleeding people when they were sick... Some ppl still believe in ghost they are call idiot or retarded
I didn't even bother listening to all this. George Bush was in Skull and Bones, and if you think he changed his spots, he got his son into it aswell. The just make out they are Christians to get the Christian vote. And then people like this guy Hicks believes it. I'm wondering is he really that much of an ignoramus or is he just using this as a tool cause he doesn't like the idea of God.

And as for the last couple lines of the description, that is a big problem with the evolution worldview: You think some people are better than others, no matter how much you preach equality.
When a Human is born, it is given a functioning body and Nothing Else. From there on, everything it becomes is directly related to what it is taught.
Therefore, your surroundings are completely responsible for who you are. You Make No Decisions.
To say someone is better than another because of it's upbringings is absurd. Therefore no one is better than another, and there is no point in despising anyone.
@JohnothanK What you are saying is not that true, human aren't born with only body function, psychology and Anthropology have proven that baby learn(without being taught) between 2-5 months the continuity of object and person, basic physics, biology, math, that is called instinctive or naive. You believe in the SSSM (Standard social science model), discredited a long time ago by the evolutionary psychology. If you never heard of neither I'm asking why you are even talking about it
Evolution by Natural Selection explains biological complexity and differences.
It doesn't tell people what to do or think... No more than the Theory of Gravity tells people to drop things.
It's also laughable that you suggest it tells us that some people are better than others, when I presume you're content with the idea the majority on this planet are going to burn for eternity because of a spiteful sky fairy.
Some people ARE better than others, that is exactly why evolution works, some individuals of the species are MORE adapted to their environment through genetic mutation, and through certain selection pressures are MORE likely to survive.
It's exactly because of our system of equality that people need the idea that God created them, they are not able to deal with the harsh truth that the human species is inherently unequal.

You know, I heard this guy on a CD back in high school and I thought he was really clever and funny. I still think he is (the "it seemed so plausible!" line still cracks me up), but he also came off as kind of an ass in this video. I mean, the jokes were funny, but the general slams on that group of people (like the dumb expressions and comparisons to cro- magnons) were not funny at all and really unnecessary. Just my opinion though.
Right, because thinking this guy is funnier to listen to than to watch is very pussy like, as is my opinion that certain jokes that were not included in the CD, but were included in this video were complete duds. No no, I see your point. *rolls eyes* I find your inability to accept that other people have different and entirely valid senses of humor to be both arrogant and ignorant.
Ugh, I don't know about "fundamentalist" christians, whatever that means. Being a Christian means being a Christian. I'm a Christian, but unlike lots of them, I'm not stupid and blind. Lots of Christians blind themselves to world problems like war, and hunger. I am even open to evolution, perhaps God created and caused evolution. What's so hard to believe about that?
Sounds like you're just spiritual, not necessarily a christian. Being christian means you believe in the bible. The bible says evolution is impossible.
Christianity, and most other religions, are ruining this world. The human race is not going to succeed as long as people are killing each other and spending a ridiculous amount of resources on war. Capitalism has got to go too.
Actually, Catholicism, the biggest Christian denomination in the world, accepts evolution. Christians believe the bible is true, but Catholics (And I believe Lutherans and many other denominations), make a distinction between moral and theological truths and scientific truths. The bible was created to express moral and theological truths, not scientific truths, so we have no reason to assume it is or was ever meant to be scientifically accurate.

That's a polite way of saying it's hung like king kong, when taken from the original hebrew. srs

@pamew I've heard the supposed arguement that it's talking about an elephant, but that's not true, show me a reference to your claim.

Don't you think someone would have asked why back then?
micah1116 1 year ago
"Everything was bigger in the past,"
Oh for fucks sake, this is why I don't debate creationists.
We KNOW how fucking big dinosaurs were you asshat, and we KNOW they didn't live 4000 fucking years ago. Why am I even entertaining this horseshit? how old is the earth btw?
"Don't you think someone would have asked why back then?"
Yes, I'm sure they did, I'm sure the reply was "well, the book also tells us to kill people who question god, so, um, stand still so we can stone you to death plz"
pamew 1 year ago
PART 2) "Yes leviathan was real too, why would they put something fake in there?"
I'd suggest you sit down and actually read the bible. It claims bats are birds and that insects have four legs. These are two things WE KNOW NOT TO BE TRUE, they ARE falsehoods and they ARE in there. So your assumption the bible is 100% true is flawed at its premise.
pamew 1 year ago
@pamew I'm talking about bugs, and other mammals, and birds as well. I'm about to send you a link, there are thousands of examples of ancient depictions of dinosaurs such as drawings and sculptures, you would have to be a complete lunatic to say they didn't see dinosaurs frequently. I'll send you a PM with the link since we can't do it in the comments. It doesn't say to kill people who question God, your thinking about Islam.
micah1116 1 year ago
@micah1116 LOL ORLY? well here's some examples of what to do to godless heathens:
EX 21:20-21 With the Lord's approval, a slave may be beaten to death with no punishment for the perpetrator as long as the slave doesn't die too quickly.
EX 17:13 With the Lord's approval, Joshua mows down Amalek and his people.
NU 15:32-36 A Sabbath breaker (who had gathered sticks for a fire) is stoned to death at the Lord's command.
Sorry, what was that?
pamew 1 year ago
@pamew Don't know where you got that verse, here's the real one:
And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished. 21Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
And your correct, in the old testament breaking God's commandments was a punishable act, that's what you don't like are his commandments, please tell me what's wrong with them?
micah1116 1 year ago
@micah1116 "if he continue for a day or two". ie if he dies, but not instantly. This one isn't even open to interpretation. what I posted was a quick explanation of it.
"please tell me what's wrong with them?"
So in your opinion it's fine to kill anyone who works on a Sunday then? . And it's FINE to kill a city full of women and children because they don't want to convert to yahweh and be slave to a blood god? THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG.
pamew 1 year ago
@pamew It doesn't say that. What you don't seem to understand is, that when certain groups of people were killed, in many cases it was because they weren't even fully human, ever heard of the nephilim? That's why God chose Noah to build the arc, he was the only one left that didn't have genetic problems. I didn't say to kill anyone who works on sunday, trust me, they had no problem with not working a day.
micah1116 1 year ago
@micah1116 Oh for fucks sake, now we're just straight in the realms of myth here.
"in many cases it was because they weren't even fully human"
IT'S SPECIFICALLY REFERRING TO HUMAN SLAVES. HALF ANGELS ALSO DON'T EXIST YOU BLOODY LOONY. NETHER DO ANGELS.
"i didn't say to kill anyone" but god does. In that last quote god HIMSELF SPECIFICALLY commands for a man to be KILLED for disobeying the Sabbath.
So in conclusion: You believe in a boat that can hold millions of species and angels. LOLOL
pamew 1 year ago
@micah1116 Oh proof they lived million of years ago ? you rather plan your argument on a drawing, with no context, that you can interpret the way you want ??? i got a simple way of calculating the age of dinosaur bones found 199 millions years ago. With C14 when you calculate the half-live of C14, that start decaying after the death of a living organism, you can accurately tell (yet with a margin of error, what is 200 yrs of error on 100 millions years now) how much time between death and now
BleakKareBaer 11 months ago
@BleakKareBaer maybe you should actually study radiometric dating before you make false claims. Carbon dating only goes back a maximum of 50,000 years and they don't date fossils with carbon dating. It's based on their position in the geologic column, which is based on dates they literally made up in the 1800's before we even had radiometric dating. Carbon dating has been shown to have huge errors and has many faulty assumptions.
micah1116 11 months ago
@micah1116 i only name that one because it is well know, Pu-235 goes back 700 million years, the huge mistake you are talking about are 1-2 million year, bible does big mistake! The geologic column is used to make a scale between species or artifact one with another, the radiometric dating is by far the most precise way, far more precise than a stupid book written by people who thought the universe revolve around earth. I study anthropology i see that stuff everyday.
BleakKareBaer 11 months ago
@BleakKareBaer again you need to do more research. For example Renium 187 has a half life of 4.6 billion years, except for the fact that in the laboratory it has been shown to have the half life of 33 years, that's a billion fold acceleration. They assume the decay rate is constant.
micah1116 11 months ago
@micah1116 You are so retarded! Plutonium have millions of years of half-life, and it is more precise than anything we got so far! You are ridiculous, your research consist of google and wikipedia, i learn facts verified and always question and passe through a scientific process, that`s what i do real research in a departement, For the Re-187 they are manipulation that need to be done, just like plutonium doesn't have the same half-life in a reactor, so far all you say is sophism all the way
BleakKareBaer 11 months ago
@micah1116 Im not a chemist nor a physicist, i use result from their work, i can tell you earth is way older than what the bible says, but by way older i mean like 4,2 billions years older than what the bible claim, it is probably not precisely perfect and in absolute number, and people like you juste like to be a smartass and point out it is not perfect WELL ITS WAY MORE PLAUSIBLE than a fucking supernatural being zapping life form on a planet you idiot. Its easier to try and discredit go ahead

the problem is taking the Bible literally.

KilluaXIII 1 year ago 2

Zakue 1 year ago
@Zakue How does creationism make ANY sense scientifically? You can't just throw in the word "scientifically" to try & make your point when there is absolutely no scientific evidence to back it up. Your claim is completely ridiculous. Also, the real debate is creationism vs. evolution. Evolution has been studied "scientifically" since the time of darwin, with hundreds of thousands of fossils to back it up. Creationism directly conflicts with the laws of the universe, & has no scientific backing
rubrbandball 1 year ago
@Zakue Creationism cannot make sense scientifically because creationism does not involve any science. If you believe in he Bible, that means you believe in magic. If a bible reader believe in angels and the Devil and miracles, why don't they believe in pixies, unicorns, goblins, griffins, dragons, wizards, wood nymphs, mermaids and sea monsters? Really, even Alchemy makes more scientific sense than creationism. At least they attempted to involve some science in their brand of bullshit

@TheWildAssCopyCat ...the logical reason that so many comedians are atheist is because there is no logical reason to believe in a god.

@Wolverazio ...If that were the case, no one would believe in gods... But most of the people in the word believe in some kind of skydaddy...

TheWildAssCopyCat 1 year ago
@TheWildAssCopyCat A large segment of the population in Africa (as part of their religious beliefs) believe that by having sex with a virgin, they can cure themselves of AIDS. There is no logic to that thinking, yet they believe it.
Wolverazio 1 year ago
@TheWildAssCopyCat When it comes to religion, logic goes out the window. And your rationale is the same kind that kept (and still keeps some people) believing that the world is flat and the Holocaust didn't happen.
"Well, all these people believe it, it MUST have some logic."
No. Sometimes people just believe crazy shit. Especially when they've been brainwashed into it from youth.
Wolverazio 1 year ago
The concept of religion as a whole cannot be assessed by logic. It is fundamentally arational. Certain specific religious beliefs (creationism, for example) can be considered irrational, as they run contrary to known fact, the the simple belief in a god cannot be dismissed through logic
IAMME000 1 year ago
@IAMME000 Religion is irrational, not arational.
How else to explain the repeated repentance
and fresh starts by a future-knowing god?
Eternal torture of 99% of humans
by the god of love and mercy?
No decrease in evil after 2,000 years of Christ's Kingdom?
An inerrant, infallible book written by the Creator
that tells of talking animals, 4-legged insects, men walking on water?
It's nice to be kind, but reason must be truthful.
Religion is irrational.
Imaginefree69 1 year ago
@Imaginefree69 It's obvious that you don't understand what I said. I said CERTAIN RELIGIOUS BELIEFS ARE IRRATIONAL, because they conflict with known fact. But religion, as a whole, is fundamentally arational. A claim to the existence of an immaterial thing, unless it interacts with the physical world in ways contrary to known physical laws, IS arational
IAMME000 1 year ago
@IAMME000 I understood you.
I simply disagree.
Religion, as a whole, is fundamentally IRrational.
It always is contrary to reality.
And Christianity is particularly irrational,
as it attempts to pass off a lying, sadistic, threatening, accusatory,
genocidal, hypocritical, murderous god
who commands rape, slavery, human sacrifice, ritualized cannibalism,
murder, theft, and every other sin you can think of
as a god of righteousness and truth and love and mercy.
Imaginefree69 1 year ago
@Imaginefree69 And I LOVE when religion-bashers cite all the negatives of religion, yet act as if religion cannot have a positive effect on people. If you don't believe me, research Gandhi, Tolstoy, MLK jr., Mother Theresa, etcetc. Instead of blaming or praising a religion based upon the actions of its adherents, maybe we should assess a person's actions on their own merits
Just a thought...
IAMME000 1 year ago
@IAMME000 "negatives of religion..."
Oh, religionists have done some good works, no doubt.
Overall, though, history clearly shows
that the price of Christianity has been war, murder, slavery,
human sacrifice, censorship, book burnings, witch hunts,
cannibalism, sexual abuse, genocide, shame, fear, enmity,
the repression of science, the destruction of nations and cultures...
Thank reason atheism is outstripping religion, finally!
Education dissolves religion.
Imaginefree69 1 year ago
Gandhi: Published many racist papers attacking blacks and thought slavery when applied to blacks was positive rather than negative.
Mother Theresa: embezzled money on behalf of Hatain crime families and spent millions of dollars of AID MONEY on facilities for her nuns rather than any constructive charity.
MLK was a civil rights leader, not a religious leader, and Tolstoy was a writer, and whilst he was talented, he was also batshit crazy. He even went as far as to call Shakespeare talentless.

Simple. First rule:Are you a smart person? Dont you want to have more TRUE facts, rather than false ones?
Of course. Next.

1,prove you are NOT a witch. If you cant prove that you're NOT,then I will kill you.
2,or does it make more sense that _I_ have to prove you ARE a witch?

Evolution by Natural Selection explains biological complexity and differences.
It doesn't tell people what to do or think... No more than the Theory of Gravity tells people to drop things.

It seems that your struggle to appear more mature has turn you into a pussy over the years.

I find the fact that you can't recongize that my comment as a joke to be quite revealing as to how shitty a sense of humour you have.
