The majority of people who dislike this theme, only say that now because they first listened to his SSFIV and are comparing it. Back in the day, and for me even now, this theme was hot shit. I like his SSFIV theme, but I played w/ Cody a lot in the Alpha 3 days so this theme just stuck with me as being more preferred.

One of my favorite themes from this game (along w/ Cammy's, Karin's, and surprisingly Rose's), I actually loved the hip-hop/techno/electronic vibe to the music of this game. Early games like SF2 were popular w/ just a melody and no drums, but this game's music made a great balance between drums/melodies.

You'll have to excuse me, when I played alpha I only used Akuma, and rarely did I pick anyone else, I main akuma in all SF's so I didn't really see any intros or outros for other characters, but in SSFIV I use cody aswell, and they make him to be some super hardass beast.

Certain random intros came whenever you pitted two special characters against eachothers and certain outros (if you will) occured, either because of the special character or a special button being pushed down just before victory animation

I had to see them all, so I tested ALL the characters and Codys is my favorite one :D

If Cody had been brought up in OZ like prison though...I'd seen him beat the living piss out of Edi XD

What gets me about Alpha 3's music is that there's rarely any kind of distinct melody to pick out. You can't really come out of the game humming anything.

It's pretty fitting in game, but I really think they should've kept the old tunes and stuck to a similar style.

In A3 songs are built around the beat and in SF2 they're built around a central melody. I'm not saying one is better than the other, just that I like having a tune stuck in my head after playing and that doesn't really happen here.

I like many of the alpha 3 themes but one thing I've noticed is that many of em sound alike. The same instruments and sounds are used for many of the themes, so some of the themes end up sounding like variations of each other.
