i just got mine, a week ago, a simply universal cab with virtua tennis, but there are some differences between yours and mine =D
my powerswitch is on the back, sadly =( and my cashbox is white. also i don´t have that huge coinbox in the middle, mine just has that thin tube on the right side, where the coins are gonna fall trough. other than that, mine has 3 buttons, (i added one, cause inside the hardwarecasing on the buttom there was a plastic bag with buttons, tools and wires =D)
dude my doorway leading to the room is 29.3" and it was a bitch.... i tore my wall up.... i need to do some major spackling haha... well worth it though..... i had to lay ti down on its side and pivot it in on an angle.... it took some scratches but i had no other option... i think ill have to sell it with the house when i decide its time lol... im currently having a new control panel being made..... cant wait for that.
Yeah this is the second of these I'll have had, I just didn't have the two I have now then.. I think I'll have to chuck my desk out and integrate the PC with my workbench!
As huge as it is compared to the Egret/Asteo, I did miss the Naomi! Did you decide if you were going to chop or not?
im a huge fan of the egret.... especially the old school one that has the speakers prodruding from the side and the bad ass marquee... id kill for that one.... honestly i wanna chop this so badly but im not experienced engough... i read the guide you got me and i know i cant do it.... if you think you can do it ill buy you a plane ticket lol...
@dankss Yeah the E29 is a cool machine, I think sammybean on neogeodotcom still has hers for sale. I love the Egret 2 though, couldn't trade it for anything ^_^
I could do with a relocation, let me know where to pick up the ticket lol
i found this in ny... it was about an hour from my house... i had to rent a cargo van to pick it up... the rental company gave me 150 miles total... it was a total of 148 miles of traveling... i just barely made it... i never drove a van before but it was a piece of cake... the hardest part was fittin it through my door. it almost didnt fit and ripped up my sheetrock pretty bad lol.....
lol 2 buttons is a joke... this was a virtua tennis cabinet.... im working on getting a replacement control panel but its real pricey so i gotta get some cash first... its gonna have to work until then....
That's a fine looking cab bro!! Sharp and stylish, it may be tall but it doesn't look like it has a massive footprint, hell you could probably even pile up some trainer boxes or console stuff behind it!! Actually I think the inside of arcade cabs could be better designed, a few shelves for your boads, you can even use the coin bucket for gamepads and leads!! Hell of a nice pickup bro, you must be hyped about it.
since these cabs were in arcades i doubt they would want to have there game boards accessible to the public lol... it would be a good idea to come up with some rig at the house that would hosue my boards though.... kinda makes me think about it..... lol.... have a good halloween my friend....
Gorgeous pickup, these are my absolute favourite cabs. Can imagine you'll get many years out of this great piece. Thanks for showing this one and nice overview. :D
Nice pickup man, I wish I had the space for another one of these, I miss my old one. They are pretty huge though, even when they are chopped. much bigger than the Astro. Are you planning to chop this one? They look awesome as a New Net City.
Oh shit bro. That thing looks huge lol! Man I need to get my hands on a arcade cab some time, I am pretty broke though for the next bit. Ah well Project: Get an arcade cabinet will have to wait for 2011 lol. Must have cost a small fortune, but it is always worth it haha!
you should get it chopped, would match your Pony a whole lot better.
