  • YOOOOOOOO QUIEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MEXICOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Minor detail, but Popmart was 1997/98, not 99.

  • Hey Pat whats your email addy like to contact you about making a bass for me

  • @andyuk36 Hi, I don't build basses... You should contact Dan Alitlio at Top Gear Guitars, he is a great person and will for sure build your dream bass... He is based in San Diego, California... topgearguitar(dot)com

Tell him you saw the Adam Clayton repro on werewolfpat(dot)com... Keep me posted!

  • Its a good copy, but it doesn't seem as stunning as Adams Bass

  • @killer600000 True, but that's because there is a 20.000 dollar difference between the 2! Still, I saw that bass with my own eyes and it is really nice... Considering that Dan was working with a limited budget I think he did great...

  • Was Adams Popmart bass and Active model?

  • That bridge is KRAP! Fukall man U can't even center the damn thing? Put a real bridge on there, not 1 of those '1-size-fits-none' modular garbage market toys.

  • Who would 'dislike'? Odd. Dan made a great looking and sounding bass.

  • @anstratdubh1979 Yes, very strange indeed, I think some people press the "dislike" button just to be mean! This bass is totally awesome and it cost a fraction of the original one! After all not everyone has 20 or 30 grand to spend on a bass!!! Dan is a true luthier, very knowledgeable and also a kind person... It was for me a pleasure to do business with him and the 2 guitars he built for me are excellent...

  • Is this copy authorised by Jerry Auerswald?

  • I am not an attorney but I think that as long as he is not trying to mass produce it or sell it as if it were a real one and as long as the body shape is not trademarked, it is probably OK... Copyrighting, trademarking etc... is a pretty tough subject and there are lots of gray areas... I know for sure though that Dan is an extremely respectable person and that he would never knowingly break the law. By the way, I have seen Madarozzo guitars and they are amazing...

  • @madarozzobags -- I It doesn't have to be 'authorized' when it was commission by a player to be made for himself by a luthier. Many have luthiers craft Tele, LP, Strat type guitars for them all the time.

  • @anstratdubh1979 You are right! In fact if all the people who build Teles, Strats, Les Pauls, SGs etc... had to be sued there wouldn't be enough attorneys in USA and God knows there are plenty of them in the States!!!
