The song is actualy super sonic and chaos talking to each other, sonic knows that chaos is not all bad, but because of all the hate (people trying to terminate him) and all the evil (eggman) he's become like that, and the only way to turn him back as his normal good self is like said in the song open your heart ( turn his bad ways and get him to be good )
i like the old one for nostalgia and make sense cuz he is always water and some strange bones. Also his eyes are better BUT the new one was more hard and its not that repetitive at all XD

@Rexco33 yeah but with the original silent hill they had to put fog in the game as the psone couldn't render everything at once. But that added to the game experience, it's the same thing here. Just because they couldn't do it then but can now makes the newer one better. I also feel it's a little more consistent with the transparency with the old chaos.

Modern Perfect Chaos was soppose to be the original design for Sonic Adventure. Saddley due to techtechnological restraints, it wasn't possible... The Modern look actrally appeared in the Mural in the game.

It looked stupid in Sonic X, and it still looks stupid now. Original Perfect Chaos>New Perfect Chaos. Also, to everyone saying that SEGA wanted him to look like this originally, why does he still look like the Adventure version in Sonic X? Did the artists not have the artistic skills necessary to make him look scaly?

I do. Not because of the show itself, but because of some thing included in it. Perfect Chaos is one of those things. Even in 'Sonic X', Perfect Chaos didn't look identical or similar to the Perfect Chaos from 'Sonic Generations'. He didn't have green teeth, he didn't have green toungue, his 2 tentacles were much bigger than the "miniature" ones around. And he also didn't have spikes on his back. Furthermore, his whole body was made of water. Clearly, this was re-designed later.

@supersonicblue19 To be honest, I prefer the design of the pre-rendered CGI SA version of his design better than the Generations version (not the in-game version, god no. Ugh).
When it comes to the gameplay though, I like the Generations boss better. Fighting him as Super Sonic was unnecessarily clunky and hard to control.

Dreamcast was pretty good back then. It truly is 128-bit console. They should've add Dreamcast Sonic from Generations. Modern Sonic manage to kick Perfect Chaos ass.
I am still a original perfect chaos fan boy and I hated the way perfect chaos was done. In sonic adventure you used super sonic's positive energy of the emeralds to neutralize chaos's negative energy of the emeralds. In sonic generations its just:

I prefer Generations because it sounds like you are in the middle of a hurricane, which you are, yet the original sounds like a FINAL BOSS THEME. I wonder why.....
As much as I like both versions of Chaos, I have to say that the newer version is a bit disappointing since it looks more reptile than water. The original had much more water than a reptile appearance. Both still look badass though.
This sounds good, but some points such as 1:11 stop it from sounding very good. It is a tad bit of a sudden jump if you know what I mean. I suggest you you fix things like this by using some kind of fading or something.
Really did not like the new version in comparison to the old, mainly due to the strange key used for the vocals in the chorus. Hearing it alongside the original makes it better - was it half of the ...harmony, for lack of knowledge in relation to terms, in the first place?
why are people saying generations chaos looks ugly the way he looks in generations is how sonic team wanted him to look like in sa1 but couldn't because of the graphical troubles
My only problem I had with the new chaos is that they put his brain in his fin on the top of his head. In sonic x it was like that as well when he turned into perfect chaos. But also a little odd he has dark blue/purple scales now when chaos was really just liquid water for the most part. But then again his origin or the creature he was wasn't clear through. If anyone gets what I mean by that.

Look, pal, I don't know you are, but neither do you know who I am. So I suggest you be carefull with what you say, before acting like you know the unknown person you're talking to. Never underestimate anyone. Secondly, how am I uneducated ? I already explainned my points. Just because somebody claims something, that doesn't automatically make it true (and this applies to anyone). Especially if they said that several years later. Perfect Chaos design in Sonic X is just an example of what I mean.

@supersonicblue19 I love them both, but I have to go with the liquidy Adventure Chaos, although that may be just because I saw him first and I'm used to him. And I like the fight itself better in Generations ;)

@supersonicblue19 To be honest, I prefer the design of the pre-rendered CGI SA version of his design better than the Generations version (not the in-game version, god no. Ugh).
When it comes to the gameplay though, I like the Generations boss better. Fighting him as Super Sonic was unnecessarily clunky and hard to control.

Dreamcast was pretty good back then. It truly is 128-bit console. They should've add Dreamcast Sonic from Generations. Modern Sonic manage to kick Perfect Chaos ass.

I am still a original perfect chaos fan boy and I hated the way perfect chaos was done. In sonic adventure you used super sonic's positive energy of the emeralds to neutralize chaos's negative energy of the emeralds. In sonic generations its just:
Sonic: BEAT UP THE HEAD BECAUSE I CAN!
Chaos: I HAVE MORE TENTACLES!

As much as I like both versions of Chaos, I have to say that the newer version is a bit disappointing since it looks more reptile than water. The original had much more water than a reptile appearance. Both still look badass though.

This sounds good, but some points such as 1:11 stop it from sounding very good. It is a tad bit of a sudden jump if you know what I mean. I suggest you you fix things like this by using some kind of fading or something.

Really did not like the new version in comparison to the old, mainly due to the strange key used for the vocals in the chorus. Hearing it alongside the original makes it better - was it half of the ...harmony, for lack of knowledge in relation to terms, in the first place?

My only problem I had with the new chaos is that they put his brain in his fin on the top of his head. In sonic x it was like that as well when he turned into perfect chaos. But also a little odd he has dark blue/purple scales now when chaos was really just liquid water for the most part. But then again his origin or the creature he was wasn't clear through. If anyone gets what I mean by that.
