  • no night flies

  • Me thinks this will only end in disaster

  • sucks when the sun goes down

  • gee do you think they might have thought of that?

  • keep dreaming!

  • lol

  • Air ships are OK if the weather is suitable. Little energy to lift and a massive area to put energy cells on.

  • It would be awesome to make flying green since this is also another fuel consuming industry now....hopefully the solar cells would become affordable to make this practical soon in the future...

  • if taiwan's largest custom semiconductor chip manufacturer makes good on its word to switch production to solar panels (they have seven billion dollars in cash ready to do anything), then solar panel prices WILL come down a lot in the next several years.

right now they have a $73 billion photovoltaic plant on the drawing board.

  • That's amazing. I would love to see these in the future. :D

  • Wonderful, great start guys!

Get the ideas out, that's the most important part. Let people know,

You can do it, just put your mind to it!

And some cash is nice, but it starts with an idea.. hopefully not one sold to a government or greedy corporations that may just buy it to surpress it!

    Kudos!

  • why use solar to power a plane when you can use water? search stan meyer on youtube to see the reality of a water powered car.

  • Water would be rather heavy to lift, seeing how it is not very developed energy source, good for a car maybe, but it needs developement to be implemented in a plane.

  • Bravo. Solar power is very smart along with wind energy. I'm sure there are others.

  • Great....! L&L to ALL & keep shining brightly...!

  • i'd hate to be the first person to fly up on one of them

  • They were.
