Okay I'm quite interested in playing this game...I'm working on getting my new gaming laptop first, but when I do...=)
I have one question concerning this vid tho that doesnt seem to be addressed wherever I look...given that this game's combat is highly different from normal mmo's with weps hitting more than one target etc, I was wondering is it possible to accidentaly hit a friendly target in a big skirmish when say, one of ur buds runs in front of u?
i played wow for a few years, did end game raiding during burning crusades peak, but once i played this game, i never could play wow again. it just seemed boring in comparison. wow relies more on "rock paper scissors" style competition rather than actual skill. aoc on the other hand, its not uncommon for a person 20 levels below another player, win in a pvp fight. plus the fact that you actually attack people and enemies instead of targeting someone, and watching your character auto attack.
i tried AOC and i think that wow is better not for the graphics but because its more interactive, AOC is a smaller world with fewer players fewr spells and just totally by yourself playing pretty much

this game will get old fast. something WoW and definately Warhammer both have is something called STORY CONTENT and BACKGROUND age of conan has nothing its just killing everything and fighting for no reason. building cities getting them knocked down again..the combat looks cool now but will u all still like it in 4 months? no it will get stale and boring. Actually AoC has over 70 years of Story content and background written by Robert E.Howard and is still continuing, which is before Blizzard was even founded. Also in AoC you don't kill things for no reason, you kill things for the same reason in nearly all MMORPGs to either gain levels, money or items. So please study a bit before you go attacking people for choosing what THEY are going to play.
joebobfickle - Warhammer and WoW look pretty similar, and they both look very childish in comparison to AoC. Maybe you like that style. To me, AoC looks more like a grown-up game than those. I just found it funny when you said "hav fun kidz".

There are different races of humans... and besides this game was made out of the historical lore 10,000 years ago... There were no Orcs and Gnomes and magical elves... like World of Suckass Craft.
QQ So what if you cant tell what class is what? That make's the game more fun when it comes down to pvp. In WoW you can tell which class is which just by clicking on them which is completely fucking retarded, not to mention each class had a set look, like all warrior's in Tier 5 would look exactly alike. I completely agree with you on your points against WoW, especially all the IWIN buttons, but I think it's to early to say whether this game will be amazing or not. It looks good but I just fear it wont live up to the hype, I really hope this game is as good as it looks to be.

Yes, it does look good I admit it but like all OTHER games the classes don't stand out. WoW classes stood out because they have their own colorful icon ect...kinda hard to explain.
AoC classes: Some warrior thing, some other warrior thing, some name I never heard of, some death priest thing...you get the picture. Short class names such as Warrior, Rogue, Paladin ect was better because you actually knew what the hell it was.
It's almost like WoW. They have the Mage, Soldier, Priest, and Rogue. All of them have different arch types. It's not that hard if you just think which I find alot of the people over the internet aren't capable of doing.

Is it REALLY that complicated for you? Anyone who plays the game for longer than a week would probably be able to tell each class apart no problem. WHY must they use the same exact class names that have been used time and time again in every type of fantasy game, book, and/or movie? It gets old.
AOC is based on massive battles as well (READ: Siege battles in border kingdoms with siege mounts and catapults!) It's about TIME we get a game that ISN'T cartoony like WoW. As for the animations... I don't see what you're talking about, though I do know that they held the game from release to work on the animations and combat.
I'm in BETA for WAR and it's extremely disappointing. Why would I leave WOW (Where I have everything) to goto a WOW knock-off where I have nothing? The sounds in the game make me think of a free Korean MOO.
Your wrong though..WAR is based upon predesignated enemies where you are forced to fight people alrdy pick.(do not think i am knocking WAR, i think it will be successful) Looky, any game with siege engines and clan vs clan has massive sieges..It siege god dammit, trust me it will be 100 vs 100 and hell mayb a clan of 50 will pop in the fight anyone who played L2,SB,EVE know what im talking about. This is just pvp minigames, MINIGAMES it aint all of what AoC has to offer..
Also, I know WAR has open ended pvp and that will prolly be great. But the instanced pvp i considered small scale combat. 36vs36 i think is the max in the instanced, and that really is not alot of people in a pvp fight.

Yes, it does look good I admit it but like all OTHER games the classes don't stand out. WoW classes stood out because they have their own colorful icon ect...kinda hard to explain.

AoC classes: Some warrior thing, some other warrior thing, some name I never heard of, some death priest thing...you get the picture. Short class names such as Warrior, Rogue, Paladin ect was better because you actually knew what the hell it was.

It's almost like WoW. They have the Mage, Soldier, Priest, and Rogue. All of them have different arch types. It's not that hard if you just think which I find alot of the people over the internet aren't capable of doing.

..First off No i would not love WoW. I played WoW the first 4 days, realize pvp is trash than i quit, sold my account to friend and went back to UO/L2..Seconly Funcom basically invented the whole instanced system in which your holy grail of MMO stole and dumbed down to fit into your small brain.And no, you loving WoW does not make you a retard. eh..After hearing what WoW is about now days i judge it spot on qirhin 4 days.WoW not a pvp game, raid all day just to get gear, i hear people hit max lvl within like a week,it a dumbed down version of EQ..I judge it perfectly..And your halo comparison is terrible.Being that how can a overrated game be one of the most played game on the xbox..WoW has brought nothing new to the MMO genre except for 10million tards and you happen to be one..gj i win again..

What do you do in WoW? Wak around with a sword or what have you with other american/european fuckheads while talking to them and auto-attacking mobs? WoW is stale. Yes, I do play it. And it gets very boring very quickly. Kinda regret all those wasted hours.

Is it REALLY that complicated for you? Anyone who plays the game for longer than a week would probably be able to tell each class apart no problem. WHY must they use the same exact class names that have been used time and time again in every type of fantasy game, book, and/or movie? It gets old.

AOC is based on massive battles as well (READ: Siege battles in border kingdoms with siege mounts and catapults!) It's about TIME we get a game that ISN'T cartoony like WoW. As for the animations... I don't see what you're talking about, though I do know that they held the game from release to work on the animations and combat.

I'm in BETA for WAR and it's extremely disappointing. Why would I leave WOW (Where I have everything) to goto a WOW knock-off where I have nothing? The sounds in the game make me think of a free Korean MOO.

I agree here with you. WAR is more about massive battles, while AoC is more 5v5 stylish.
But I have a huge issue with all the Animations in AoC, they just look to.. fake? I dont know how to describe it best.
Also the graphics are great, too great for an mmo imo. It will require alot from your system, and I predict alot of lag in combat.
So I'm a WAR fan ;) But hey, "Together we can rule the galax... I mean bring down WoW!"

Your wrong though..WAR is based upon predesignated enemies where you are forced to fight people alrdy pick.(do not think i am knocking WAR, i think it will be successful) Looky, any game with siege engines and clan vs clan has massive sieges..It siege god dammit, trust me it will be 100 vs 100 and hell mayb a clan of 50 will pop in the fight anyone who played L2,SB,EVE know what im talking about. This is just pvp minigames, MINIGAMES it aint all of what AoC has to offer..

Also, I know WAR has open ended pvp and that will prolly be great. But the instanced pvp i considered small scale combat. 36vs36 i think is the max in the instanced, and that really is not alot of people in a pvp fight.
