Sorry for delay. Housing is big, strong and heavy. I dont like controls, but I cant compare at this moment with different one (except of housing for G7 I have it and its a toy comparing to this one). Now I think I would consider buying Ikelite housing for the same price.
Hey again! You took any pictures underwater while filming? Can you give me a link where i can see those ? Can you give me some info about the housing ? Thanks a lot!
Sorry for delay. Yes, I took lots of still picutres with this camera. I have slideshow on youtube - search for "The hidden colours of Ireland, just below the surface (freshwater)." Widescreen photos are from this camera. About housing: please read my comment above.
looks very good! i have been shooting underwater with the hf20 and the canon wp-v1 waterproof case and i really like it. i would definately like to have a wide angle lens instead of the standard lens on the hf20. i look forward to seeing more of your videos. check out some of mine too if you want
I was on the same canal again, with more sun and on two different locations. have some nice shoots: nice size pike, really large monster breem. But I plan to make more videos from that canal, so I'll wait until I get all of them before the winter then I make another clip for youtube in HD.
i am jealous... can you give a review now that you have had it for a period of time... how are the manuel controls and quality of build on the hd6... been putting money aside for this rig, and am very thankful that someone has explored this route and posted video before me
Let me test it little bit more. I just come back from the short trip to the West of Ireland and yes! I have very nice uw footage from the Atlantic coast. I'll try to post short demo clip even maybe tonight.
I'm communicatin with Equinox about few small things that on my opinion can easily be improved making this housing more handy to use. When I get clear reply regaring this - I'm going to tell you everything about HD-6.
Thanks for the info man. Do you know how clear water is in that lake? For photo/video I need really clear water - 5m+ visibility. I plan trips to freshwater lakes this autumn when weather & sea turns nasty and I'll not be able to swim in the sea..
i have not been there for about 10 years but from what i remember it was clear then, the amount of fish i was catching was just silly. and i even got a pike on maggots 13lb 26inch. by far the best fishing i have ever done so many different fish. a vid there would be a trip down memory lane for me.
Sure, I'll update info. This one is from Grand Canal, as usual, about 1.5-2km from Robertstown. I plan to make web-based directory with uw videos+photos, I just need time to work on this.
Hi, i'm using the Canon HF s100 with ikelite housing... you can check my videos at youtube . com / jbdigit or the best ones at vimeo . com / jbdigit

I truly enjoyed this!...I loved all that I saw!.. and the possibility for some really amazing still photos were certainly there.
There was a natural "haze" down there that looked like "Bokeh" which I do love. Great stuff!...keep up the great work!..

nice footage, i got hf s10, waiting for housing, did you use automatic focus?

Thanks. Yes, I don't have control for MF with my housing, but even if I had it don't think I'll be able to use it underwater.

That day was quiet dull, almost no sunshine. I'll try to catch sunny days and to make more freshwater videos soon.

Also as I said it was first quick test - I didn't see bubbles on the lens, was not familiar with controls, etc. There will be better video, trust me!
