I had a Michael and have always referenced this song when I wanted to see Michael. I loved him soooooo much and never really got to show him. He passed away in his early 40's and I still blame myself for not loving him enough. Carol Vaughan Davis
I spent a lot of time listening to her when I was young, back in the day......I was really liking a cute boy..and this was one of the songs I heard when I snuck off to see him and he ask me to dance...wit his fine self....so I remember this sone well.
It dosen't get anymore beautiful then this. The beauty of her voice matched only by the quality of the material she is covering. Today's music lacks this kind of integrity and purity. Thanks Dionne and her team for giving us this level of excellence.
I HAVE TO SAY I ALWAYS HAVE THE MEMORIES OF MY MOTHER ,I WOULD WATCH AS SHE WENT TO AND ABOVE HER PAIN SHE FELT LOVING SOMEONE,THAT WAS TO FAR AWAY TO NOTICE R.I.P MOM...I FELT YOUR LONINESS AND I TO HAD THE SAME RELATIONSHIP....FAR AND AWAY 'LET THEM GO' WE ALWQAYS KNEW THERE IS SO MUCH MORE THEN JUST TURNING AWAY..I MISS YOU .C.N
I love when her voice "cracks" on the word "fell" at 1:51...such emotion. I saw Dionne live in a free outdoor concert in Bloomfield, NJ a few years ago. It was so moving...I teared-up more than once...singing along with goosebumps on my arms. I never thought I would get to see her in person singing her classic songs. Thank you, Dionne! She is still at the top of her game. What a classy performer who has not forgotten where she came from.
I just love this song. Dionne Warwick has always been a favorite. I was just a little girl when this came out, and I loved it as much then as I still do today...
beautiful melody. I remember when the Walkman first came out. I heard this song through perfect stereo all by myself one day while walking on a perfect summer afternoon. It was great. But my fondest memory reflects even further back to when I was but a child and hearing this on A.M. radio. Such a haunt. Thanks for the post. :o )
Has there ever been such a goose bump moment that at 1:38?

Fantastic song--like the Earl Klugh instrumental as well. Tip of the hat to Ms. Dionne Warwick.

I have no idea what Burt and Hal were thinking, because this is pure Dionne Warwick. It is one of my favorites by her.
