  • wow, she's so good. I've been looking for a fiddle to add to our band, sucks I can't find anyone half as good as your 14 year old kid, lol~

  • hey not lessening your guitar but since the violin is lead instrument it is noticed more and yep it is brilliantly played, well done

  • Never heard a sped up version of this tune. LOVE IT!!!

  • bravo!!!!

  • tanx a million for getting back to me i wil try plalying along wit ur vid ... wi tthe chords ya gav me to get the hang of it :D appreciate it :D xxx

  • any chance u cud do a video of the chords your playing on guitar just so i can see wot im ment to be playing along wit the violin ??? i cant get it at home myself even doh i hav the chords in front of me wud be gud to hav a visual aid ... please?

  • It's in Em ... there are just 2 sections really ... Em alternating with D will get the first bit sorted.

The chord run down for the other sections is Em D C Bm ( or B7 for flavour and variety ). I'm sorry, I don't have time to make a video ... but you can see other guitarists playing the tune here on YT

    And play so fast!

  • sweet when i have a kid i hope they are this musically talented.

  • prefer it slow. pretty cool though. well done lads

  • Wow (and I´m not a guy who starts many posts by wow). I think there are really many botched versions of King of the Fairies around here - it´s not an easy song (as I myself experienced, when I was learning it in last few days). You both played it damn well, and not only that - it sounds authentic. Many fiddlers suffer from too...classical style, while that was just great.

  • Hi there ... do a google search for "abc tune finder" and you'll find a site which will find many folk tunes and allow downloads of the music in abc format as well as the normal music in pdf format ... regards

  • damn this is the music i love and probably one of the best versions ive heard in a while your daughter is an awesom fiddler

  • That would be the third tune ... we start with King of the Fairies, then The Roseberry Waltz and finally Toss the Feathers.

  • wow awesomely played

  • excellent..loved king of the fairies.

  • Fabulous.

  • awesome... just awesome... wow

  • Just...WOW!

  • Go hiontach ar fad! Keep it up. First one is a very difficult tune to play, and Toss the Feathers sounds great. Fiddless has great posture and command of the fiddle. I hope she keeps it up, 14 can be a distracting age! Good banter between the both of you, keep it beo and post more soon. Go raibh maith agaibh, slán.

  • The second tune, The Roseberry Waltz, was thrown together by my daughter about half an hour before we were filmed :) Also, sorry the sync seems to have slipped. Never mind :)
