Guys, do some research. If you look around the internet especially on the apb website it says there are no monthly fees, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. They do say that they have DLC and other type of extras that you "could" spend money on if you wanted.

If they are going to charge monthly fees then they should at least lower the initial price down from $50. I was just about to get this until i heard about the damn fees. Id rather play gtaiv which has custom radio, better handling and i can upload REAL custom cars,weapons and character clothes (pc version) without any stupid fees.
Of course there's a fee. Fees cover server maintenance as well as new content development & implementation. Then you have in-game moderators & other staffing costs, not to mention a host of other overheads. MMOs like Global Agenda, WoW, AoC, Eve, Aion, Champions, etc. etc. all have fees for this reason.
Personally I 'd like them to at least treble the fee & institute some rigid age & IQ restrictions to keep the whining brats & moronic whining bitches like you out.

@EinSpear Massive army battles are boring. It becomes less about skill and more about which army has the better weapons/most people at that point. The enforcers aren't supposed to be actualy law enforcers anyway, so they can dress up however they like as long as they kill criminals. The game was developed under the Unreal engine which has been used mostly for shooter games and deathmatch-type games. That being said you can not kill another officer or crim unless you've reached max notoriety or prestige or are given a mission to do so. Then you can actually do battles that consist of 1 vs1 to 6 vs 6.
The Enforcer gameplay isn't like anything I've seen before. Being a criminal and having to avoid getting arrested by actual players is another thing that I haven't see among many MMOs. Also, I don't think you're giving the customization in APB the respect it deserves. It's not just characters, either. You can customize your theme song, your car, tatoos and logos.

You set up a deathmatch mode in the middle of the city when they ask if you want it for a mission. This is all I've been doing for the past three weeks. In my opinion, the game could be a lot better rather than a couple of features that say "we can arrest people and run them over in 'our' car with the 'Jaws' theme song!" It feels like deathmatch to me.

How is there no variation in the way you kill you take down your opponent in APB? You can run them over, shoot them, blind them with a non-lethal grenade, blow them up, or use a stun gun or put them in handcuffs. That's enough variation for me. If you ask me, Fully costuomizable cars>More realistic vehicle damage.

I heard its not its just going to be for PC but I have to say I probably would never buy this for my xbox 360 because GTA is annoying enough to play online... The mouse is so much easier in FPS games.

@bONz08r0nzan I expect some sort of realism. Since you can't do this stuff I assume you just shoot a car till it blows it.. that to me just seems so arcade like and kinda tacky, there will be no variation in the way you try to kill your opponent.

@Nogert GTA doesn't have realism. You never die. You're barely punished for whatever crimes you commit. You can perform superhuman acts of strength and agility.
How is there no variation in the way you kill you take down your opponent in APB? You can run them over, shoot them, blind them with a non-lethal grenade, blow them up, or use a stun gun or put them in handcuffs. That's enough variation for me. If you ask me, Fully costuomizable cars>More realistic vehicle damage.

It's an MMO, all online. It's going to handle the subscription differently though, they will not use monthly fees. There are no new details on what they will use instead yet.

So its a multiplayer cops and robbers take on the GTA-esque 3rd person sandbox shooter.
I can immediately tell this is going to be popular with 12-18 year olds who want to take out their teen angst on other people legally; inbetween taking breaks from making their forearms looking like something out of a SAW movie.
