Louie Pasteur was the greatest microbiologist of all time. It is amazing what he accomplishes and the breadth of the of fields he studied. He is my scientific hero.
I am suprised the life the famous scientised hasn't been made again. A French bio film of the man would be interesting to watch. Holloywood always takes liberities with history it isn't called the Great Dream Factory for nothing.
I've studied this man and his wonderful wife. This movie sure took some liberities. I don't remember anything like this test being preformed. Maybe I missed something but I think this is Hollywood license. At least it promotes Louise. And the couple would laugh big time at how rich they look. The house, clothes, etc. They were poor and half the time the university wouldn't pay her. No heat in the shed they were given, etc. He was killed and she melted down her Nobel Prize for bills.
