Crosby is a playmaking center, which is pretty standard for a center. Ovechkin is a LW, not a common playmaking position (or even scoring as much as other forwards generally comparatively). Comparing the two is rather inane, but one thing Ovechkin excels in is checking, Crosby not so much. Both are great players, but only Pens fans seem to think Crosby is more likable. This is what the rest of the NHL feels Pens fans, trust me.
