@TheWorld4all Look at the state of that car though... it's completely destroyed. It looks like the seatbelt did save her life, although it gave her the injury that put her in the wheelchair.
I admire her strength and courage! Best wishes to the happy couple.
@TheWorld4all its a double-edged sword unfortunately. The seatbelt probably did save her life, but due to the car being so messed up it also caused this sad injury
You are beautiful and the goal you set for yourself is so inspiring. I will also be walking down the aisle on my wedding day. You are so lucky to have your boyfriend stand by your side next to you after your accident, I was not so lucky when I became paralyzed 3 years ago. Such an inspiring story.
I watched on Daybreak this morning in the UK as well and was moved to tears. You are amazing and I am very pleased that you managed to walk down the aisle. Congratulations to you both Best wishes from Worcestershire UK xx
Total Admiration, watched you both on UK news today, I geuss you aint gonna be reading this today, I think a honeymoon might delay that!!! All the Very Very best to you both....Best Wishes from Wales UK
Hi Jennifer like you I also suffered a devastating spinal cord injury in July 2008
which left me paralyzed (C-5,6) at fourteen years old. You give me HOPE and I would like to be in contact with you and possibly hear more about the program you are enrolled in.
Please contact me via youtube inbox, so we can further chat.
P.S. Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding.
You are an inspiration and a very beautiful woman! We pray that you will walk again! May God Bless you and wish you a long and happy marriage to your future husband!
Jen, you are such a beautiful person (inside and out)!!! Your spirit is so uplifting. From our family to yours, bless you and good luck on your special day. :)
My prayers go out that you will be able to walk, best wishes and good luck :) hope you have the Wedding day that you have always wanted. look forward to seeing your progress.
You will walk down the isle to meet & marry the man of your dreams! You will have a beautiful & blessed life! You will because that is what you want! You are an inspiration! All brides should be so beautiful
Never give up! I too was told 4 & 1/2 years ago (at age 37) that I would never walk again (after a spinal cord stroke). After 6 months as an inpatient at a rehab centre and lots of hard work, today I walk with the aid of a walker or canadian crutches. Long distances still require a wheelchair but I can stand and walk short distances. Don't give up...looking forward to seeing you walk down the aisle.
Bravo for being such a strong willed person!! You are such an inspiration and such a beautiful girl!! I will be looking forward to watching you progress!
When I read your story Jennifer it brought back alot of memories for me, my brother was also in a car accident when he was only 18 years. He too was assisted with walking but @ that time the brace was alot bigger. Is this brace available in Canada also? You are a inspiration to all, & from what Ive seen my brother go thru, there isnt anything he dont do & wont accept he cant do - he just finds his way to do it. Congratulations on your upcomin marriage!! Enjoy each day ;)
I think you are a very strong woman, you will have a beautiful wedding and be able to walk down the aisle and marry the man of your dreams & have that first dance with your new husband..sending all prayers your way ..Jan from Windsor
jen, with your will and determination, you will walk again sending positive energy and vibes your way .all the very best to you and your fiance................. rob from windsor

I thought seat belts were designed to save lives ...not destroy them. We need to come out with better seat belts.
